About this mod

Wanna be unqiue with your eyes and not wanting all NPCs to have the same glory? This framework is just for you!

Permissions and credits
Eye often See more mods showing up and it brings me a smile, but similarly to skin colors, there are new eye colors but they
are replacers. I made this mod to act as a framework for people who wanna make custom eye colors.

You can for example have unqiue eyes that is just for YOU, or you can use this framework when editing followers and give them
unique eyes.

---How to install---
Place the Esm file inside the data folder (or merge the existing Data folder into Starfield's main folder).
Install Plugins.Txt Enabler Found here https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/4157

Now look around The Nexus site for any eye mods that suit your need.
For example, lets take ThEjEsTeRoFeViL's eye mod. They are pretty awesome. https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/5362

When you downloaded that mod, you extract them where you usualy do into data.
Now, go into textures\actors\human\faces\eyes
Once inside, you see texture files of the eyes, such as iris_blue_color, iris_brown_color and many more.
There are 22 of these colors (such as many custom slots!).

Rename each of these files acordingly of their number
Custom1, Custom2, Custom3 and so forth til you reach 22.

Then add *ExtragalacticalEyes.esm in that file to load it alongside other plugins
(The Asterisk needs to be there to activate the said plugins).

To know that it works, simply go to any Enhance! store and check if the custom eyes
are showing up. If they show up as untextured, then you either forgot to rename the files
acordingly (Custom1, Custom2 etc etc).

---Eye mod list--

A few eye mods so far that you can download and use as standalone with my framework.

Starry Eyed - Eyes of the Starborn

Jesters Better Eyes Natural

Cyborg Eyes by Seph

The Eyes of Beauty - Starfield Edition

----Extremely important, like for love of Barrett's glorious beard---

I beg you, like for real, make backup on your save files. While the edits i done is very
basic, we dont know how the experimental xedit tool's plugins will affect saves, and this goes
not only with my mod, but any mod you install (both xEdit and previous mods made using different method).
Even when its not about mods, having backup saves will save you tons of headaches and frustrations.

---Q&A---

Q: Why make this mod?
A: Similar to skin colors, i never really seen anyone do it, so might as well, plus i wanna be nice and
provide a framework for people who want custom eye colors that arent replacers.

Q: Why not pack custom eye textures yourself so i dont have to do the work?
A: It be rude to pack textures that arent even mine. besides, this mod is a framework for modders
and users to get custom eye colors.

Q: Possible to use on NPCs?
A: Yes. You can either use it when editing npcs directly via console commands, or via xEdit.

Q: How many eyes so far can be added?
A: 22 extra eyes can be added (plus 12 of the vanilla base game eyes).

Q: Is it compadible with other frameworks? Even the ones that already does something similar?
A: Sould be. You just make sure to load my mod further down so that you gain more slots to work with.
