Beta Trial has been temporarily released for open-testing (Version 1.6). Please read the Changelog located on the Description page for further clarification on its purpose, questions on what it is will be removed to avoid clutter. I am looking for player feedback on the Stealth changes for that particular version before I move it into its next phase. It was tested on an account with maxed Stealth so far.
Might be wrong but I'm assuming this is messing with stealth/stealing currently? They get me through walls with this mod. Is there a way to turn that off?
Great mod! Been loving it so far. But I noticed that my other mod "Starborn Among Us" isn't working properly. Starborns doesn't use their powers anymore after I activated PEAK AI...
I have had the reverse be true. The enemy does not react until I get right next to them and shoots so I do not htink it is this mod is at fault but either load order or mod conflict leading to extreme behaviors.
I also play with increased number of enemies and companions as well. COuld that be the issue with why no one seems able to detect or even fight?
Hi BasedGodAce, would you mind if I released a fork of PeakAI? I love Peak, but the stealth always bothered me a ton, I've spent a good bit tweaking it, and I'd love to share with the community! Happy holidays!
if anyone would like to try it- all of the parameters are left identical besides stealth (under Game Settings). stealth is easier but certainly not too easy, just not absurd (imho). I believe BasedGodAce used a Fallout 4 mod as reference, which has been updated since to make stealth easier so I mirrored their updates (+ included some from Urania 5B).
I would also recommend running these commands on startup (can do it from text file referenced in your ini in the Starfield root)
I've since switched to Royal Combat because I find the tweaks to be better (mostly the same records but I find the values to be harder / better), but it unfortunately still breaks stealth. Luckily, I again made a tweaked version of Royal Combat to fix stealth, too!
Combat should be as difficult / realistic as Peak, with realistic playable stealth AND the additional edits to Aliens, Ship Combat, etc, that JaeDL did for RC that Peak doesn't include. I also added all of the missing records Peak includes over to Royal Combat.
This mod has caused issues for me in the TMD HQ on mars. I'm unsure if it's directly related to the quest i'm doing because i've had this downloaded for a while but i returned to the TMD HQ to talk to Percival and everyone was acting strange running away from me and a few people even fired at me. I went down into the connecting mines and the miners acted the same way. Went to cydonia and everything was fine as well as every other major settlement i visited. Figuring it must be a mod i disabled them all and confirms it does not happen without mods and then re enabled them and then systematically disabled them 10 at a time and narrowed it down to this one mod. I've had it downloaded for months so it's just strange it's happening all of a sudden but i'll probably just disable it for now.
PEAK AI has it's weakpoints. It's damn good at flanking and putting on pressure from all sides, but it falls flat on it's face if I control a single chokepoint with no other way. 20 spacers all came running into my sniper fire.
Curious to hear other's experiences - I just installed this mod and ran the same Pirate Bounty mission with and without the mod. I honestly think the AI performed better without the mod installed. Would love to hear y'all's experiences with this, however. I really like so much about this game - really struggling to find a smart enemy AI setup.
Just a clarification, does this affect only enemy AI's or does it also affect companion AI's. I know it says "enemy" but i know usually AI shares the same combat settings.
I second this, id like to know if companions and friendly NPC's also get this change in AI, not to compare but Improved Combat AI states that it does, as im wanting to give this a try and comply with Starborn Royalty
