Fully functional Steam Overlay in both versions of my program! Both the "Instant Play" and "Open With Steam" versions of the program will work with the Steam overlay.
IMPORTANT: A Portable instance is required for the "MO2 - Instant Play" file. If you are using a "Global" instance then you will need to switch to a "Portable" instance instead. This isn't required if you choose the "MO2 - Open With Steam" file.
Good news: It's very easy to create a new Portable instance and keep all of your mods and settings.
Just create a new Portable Instance, then just copy and paste your "mods", "profiles", "downloads" and "modorganizer.ini" from your global instance into your new Portable instance directory and overwrite any files.
Based on my testing, it seems that the DLSS mod by PureDark unfortunately, doesn't work with the Steam Overlay (In my case, at least). I've been testing Starfield Frame Generation - Replacing FSR2 with DLSS-G by LukeFZ564 and using this, combined with my mod, does work with the Steam Overlay. On my end, I now have DLSS, MO2, Reshade, and the Steam Overlay all working correctly.
hey so im hoping you can help, ive installed and added the command to steam. i click on play in steam, the command prompt pops up and runs thru everything, i get the all systems are go... then i get a pop up saying "Windows cannot find 'n'. Make sure you typed the name in correctly and then try again.
Do you use the QuickSaveOnInterval part of this mod, and if so, is the quicksaveoninterval part working and keeping the command window open like it is supposed to? I ask because for some strange reason quicksaveoninterval just stopped running and I can't get it to restart.
Why did my anti virus find a trojan file in the zip? Not just that but there were 2 files in the extracted zip when one of them seemingly disappeared. Dodgy ass mod.
I was just writing down the path to sfse_loader while i accidentualy pressed "enter" before i could finish the path correctly. The S.A.S.L. - AIO.exe does perform something and closed without any effect. When i now try to start the game via Steam it instantly closes after S.A.S.L says "you are clear to launch, comander". How can i set back the parameters so i can type in the correct path to sfse_loader.exe again?
Edit: did found the S.A.S.L.-Settings.ini (sort by newest date) and could add the missing information. Now it works
Would you be willing to share your S.A.S.L.-Settings.ini file? Cuz I have also encountered the similar problem. My program got stuck at the step of typing the sfse path.
Novice with only 25+ years of using mods. I would really like to use this however both 7-zip and Windows Defender are blocking it. Advice politely requested please. I am not a fan of Vortex though I do use it. I find MO2 intimidating also I dislike the way it's eager fans try to bully novices like myself into using it :P
I would love to see a version of WryeBash for Starfield however I do not think that will happen. It is/was so logical imho.
try going to virus and threat protection settings > Add or remove exclusions (at the bottom of the page) > and add the Starfield folder as an exclusion, that would probably fix it. Most likely won't though, I'm just a stillborn with only 12+ years of using mods.
using this does not detect the xbox controller, it lets me use it, but it does not detect it as a controller and the controller buttons do not work, the weirdest thing is that the right joystick is as if it were the mouse

You sure its safe?
Feel free to drop it into Virustotal if you're unsure :)
Skipping this update because Starfield was not in focus) any help?
