Version 5.0.0 Update Note: Starting with game version 1.12.30, the logic that determines if a save is considered "modded" was updated to include support for Creations that are tagged as "Achievement Friendly". This actually caused some issues with how previous versions of this mod disabled checks for modded saves and broke some features like the missing master warning if a mod was uninstalled mid-save. (Uninstalling mods mid-save is still not recommended, as is the case with every Bethesda game.)
Version 5.0.0 is a rework of the mod that simply disables the warning when opening the Console and patches the AddAchievement function to ignore any checks, and just add an achievement. The "modded" [C] tag will show up on saves that have used console commands, or installed mods, this is expected behavior. Achievements will still work on these saves with the mod installed. This has been done to both simplify the mod, and to prevent any edge cases from showing up now or in the future.
If you get a "fatal error occurred while loading plugin" message for this mod while loading the game, try updating your vcredist to the latest version, or repairing an existing install.
As 30 december 2024, this mod still working for me with last version of Starfield. I unlocked one achievement few days ago : https://imgur.com/XCJzdD2 And my savegames are marked with [C].
So to confirm this mod keeps achievements enabled but will not suppress the warning popups or remove the flag? Because it was a little bit hairy that I still get the big are you sure you want to load this save warning
It is still working, and exactly as shad0wshayd3 described it would in the first pinned comment. Your saves will get the [C] tag but you'll still get achievements. I just now unlocked the first Ryujin achievement on my modlist with v5.0.0 of Baka.
Now I dont know if its something in my setup or not, but although I have this mod installed and it appears to be running, I am still not getting Achievements. When I crossed 500 inorganic resources in my playthrough and I did NOT get the Rock Collection Achievement.
I also tested this by trying to earn the Back to the Grind Achievement by joining Ryujin Industries and completing ALL of the Back to the Grind activity assignments and reporting back to Imogene to complete the activity and I did NOT earn the Back to the Grind Achievement.
I have the most up to date SFSE and I am using Baka Achievement Enabler 5.0.0. I also have the most up to date Address Library for SFSE Plugins. So I have everything this mod needs to run correctly.
Now the ONLY mod I found that help me both erase the C on my Save File, AND actually earn that Rock Collection Achievement as well as the Back to the Grind Achievement for Ryujin Industries, was a mod called Starfield Achievement Enabler.
Here is what I had to do:
I had to install this mod (Baka Achievement Enabler) and all of its requirements (which includes the most recent SFSE and Address Library for SFSE Plugins). I then also installed Starfield Achievement Enabler. I then loaded a save which already had a C on it, and once in game, I then immediately made a new save (which Starfield Achievement Enabler prevents the C from appearing on my NEW save file). I then loaded that new save that did not have the C on it. Once I did that, I was able to earn both the Rock Collection Achievement, and the Back to the Grind Achievement for Ryujin Industries without any issues.
It appears to be working for some and not for others. Unfortunately, it no longer works for me. I started using Starfield Achievement Enabler by serverimp and it works flawlessly. You may get a warning that achievements are disabled when you start a new game but you will still earn them and your save will be clean.
Baka also stopped working for me since the last game version update.
I, too, transitioned over to the Starfield Achievement Enabler as a result. It's 1 single file to maintain instead of needing multiple files from various sources (SFSE, and SFSE libraries). This doesn't mean it will work for everyone. But in my case, all other mods I use are directly through the CK.
found a solution to make a unmarked save (works fine for me). install the mod "Starfield Engine Fixes - SFSE" (https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/10457) and set bDisableSaveModMark to 1. Note: this will only remove the marker from the save, not the nag screen
Bit of a problem with version 5.0.0 -- since the saves are now flagged as modded, they cannot be transferred over to xbox / gamepass as achievement-capable, nor can they be used to start a clean NG+. (Update: It seems people are also having trouble getting achievements with 5.0.0 as well)
I think it might be helpful to restore the ability to keep the saves clean, at least. Getting rid of the nags was also an equally important feature for me.
If anyone else is in the same boat, unless / until this mod regains the ability to create clean saves, SFAE Achievement Enabler AFAIK is the only one left that does -- and it doesn't require SFSE. (This is the same one recommended in Phayntom's post) Make sure you use these links - searching for "starfield achievement enabler" on some search engines will give you the wrong mod.
Also as other have said, shad0wshayd3's work is always exemplary and deserves nothing but appreciation for keeping up the absurd battle against ableism in the video game industry. It's a cause very close to my heart so even if it wasn't the goal - it is appreciated.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but NG+ ing doesn't clear the 'dirty' flag on your save.
Any effort to fight ablism in the video game industry should be applauded -- Baka Achievement Enabler is still a great mod addressing a concern very close to my heart.
Unfortunately, v5.0 of this mod removes a bit too much functionality for me. I'm not comfortable having a save game I care about flagged as modded -- perhaps it is paranoia, perhaps it is principle; I don't trust BGS/Microsoft not to pull a fast one.

@jmpz11 -- there's no such thing as a "clean save" because things get baked into the game when you start a "new as in new in the main menu" game. The only way to make a "clean save" is to start a completely new game. That's a concept that should have died at birth and causes a lot of problems in all moddable Bethesda games.
As far as the current version is concerned, I started from scratch with the latest version of this mod, and it hasn't worked for me at all. This rework of the mod simply isn't working. There are two achievements I should have earned, but didn't happen.
Correction: There is no such thing as a "clean" save in Starfield. Full Stop.
Papyrus debug output from Starfield - unmodified, with no saves present; before starting a new game.
It is only edge cases in which an NG+ doesn't "clean" up the residue left by mods, which fits the definition of clean enough for me, for now -- and I suspect it meets most people's needs when they want to "clean' their game.
Please, by all means -- enjoy playing through the miner from Vectera and starting at zero if that is your thing -- no need to be contradictory 😊
jmpz11 -- maybe Skyrim has flavored my comment a little bit. Consider this, if you add a new mod, sometimes they have to be ordered before other mods already in your load order (depends on the mods). So if you don't correctly order your mods, be prepared for undesired side effects, such as the new mods not working at all or in the intended fashion. That's true as at least where mods that have esm's are concerned. Mods without esm's should be ok. And as we all know, if you reorder your mods in a game in progress, you're going to have a bad time.
Ok, this is just a warning for anyone out there who cares about achievements. Now I dont know if its something in my setup or not, but although I have this mod installed and it appears to be running, I am still not getting Achievements. I appreciate shad0wshayd3 for creating this mod and keeping it updated, so thank you so very much. But ever since the latest update to the game, for some reason, the C in my save file is actually stopping me from earning achievements. Now I do have SFSE installed and up to date, this mod is installed through MO2, and the mod is running, as is SFSE, but achievements are not being earned for me. I can't speak for anyone else.
Yeah its a shame because shad0wshayd3 did a really great job making this mod, and its kept us going up until now. Hats off to him for taking time out of his busy life to make it, and keep it updated for us.
It just means console command has been used and saves are disabled if you are not using an achievement enabler. However, if you have this mod installed, achievements will work anyway. I can confirm. I just got 2 new achievements in heavily modded game where all saves had (c) tag.

plugin BakaAchievementEnabler.dll (00000001 BakaAchievementEnabler 05000000) loaded correctly (handle 1)
Still getting the achievement-disabled warning, though.

Update: that mod you suggested is doing the job. Sadly, this mod no longer works, as many people have reported.
