    Advice for enabling plugin mods:
    Always copy the plugin name from the plugin, don't trust your typing skills and reading comprehension, that has tripped up people.
    In your StarfieldCustom.ini remove all entries for stestfile (it will break your s#*!) or sStartingConsoleCommand (it breaks some peoples' s#*!).
    Here's what my StarfieldCustom.ini looks like
    [General]
    bEnableMessageOfTheDay=0
    sPhotoModeFolder=Photos

    [Archive]
    bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
    sResourceDataDirsFinal=

    [Spaceship]
    fShipBuilderModuleOverlapTolerance=-5.0000

    [Display]
    fSpaceGlowBackgroundScale=0.0
    fStarfieldBackgroundScale=1500.0
    sPhotoModeFolder=Photos

    [Camera]
    fActorFadeOutBoundMax=0
    The General and Archive sections are all that you need.
    Your plugins.txt should be named that, not plugin.txt, not plugins.txt.txt
    Here's what my plugins.txt looks like

    If you have an .esp or .esl plugins get rid of them. You never should have used them in the first place, but you were thirsty. The people making them knew they were trouble, and kinda warned you. Also problems from those may be baked into your save files, so you should probably start new games.
    Also some of those same people took those broken .esp and .esl plugins, opened them in xEdit and resaved them as .esm plugins. Those are still broken. They have to remake the mod from scratch in xEdit for them to be safe. Do you trust that they did that?
    If following this advice on avoiding the most common mistakes, doesn't fix all your problems then read the comments on the Plugins.txt Enabler page. There is a wealth of information there from other mod users that had issues and had to figure it out. Content mod authors pages aren't here for you to figure out how to properly use Tool mods. That's what their pages are for.
    Good luck on your journey to learning the art and science of mod using.

      Well let me know if there's a particular thing you don't understand. I know the patches can be a little confusing with all the options, but if you look in the description tab of any of my pages, I separated them by feature sets you're trying to have. Hopefully that advice helps.
  4. Gambit, just wanted to thank you for your suite of mods. I use many of them, and am particularly thankful for this one - not least for removing the one lingering non-xEdit mod still in my load order - and the ways it cooperates with your other mods, and even a few more, thanks to your work on patches. Appreciate what you do to add so much to this game.

    Someone, PLEASE help me figure out how to get these plugins to work with each other. I've tried many different orientations and can't seem to get the option to improve vanilla clothing quality, nor does clothing spawn in the world with legendary modules. If I use console commands and go to a spacesuit bench, the quality upgrade (Calibrated) is locked. Here's my plugins.txt order:
    ...
    *dmLegendaryRecyclerHabs.esm
    *dmLegendaryRecycler.esm
    *Straw_BossChestsContainLegendary.esm
    *Starfield Extended - Legendary Clothing Enabled.esm
    *Starfield Extended - Craftable Quality.esm
    *Starfield Extended - Craftable Quality - Legendary Clothing Enabled.esm
    *dmLegendaryRecycler - Legendary Clothing Enabled Patch.esm
    *Legendary Module Recycler - Boss Chests Always Contain Legendaries Patch.esm
    ...

    Everything else seems to work (clothing can be prepped at Legendary Recycler Hab on my ship, and modules can be swapped out at a bench).

    If someone got these to play together, a snippet of your plugins.txt order would be enough for me. Thanks!

      You don't need *Starfield Extended - Legendary Clothing Enabled.esm, as *Starfield Extended - Craftable Quality - Legendary Clothing Enabled.esm adds the same functionality. Clothing won't spawn with legendaries on it. It's apply them yourself only. I didn't want to change the game balance by making it spawn more legendary items, or throw off the balance between whether it spawned weapon or armor legendaries.
      By locked do you mean it shows a padlock, or you just can't craft something? Are you using StarUI Workbench? I use it, so I'm not sure if it shows more crafting requirements than vanilla did, so if it's the latter, maybe you're not seeing something you need to be. If it's the former, it's probably that the game generated an item with something in that mod slot that is beyond your current crafting skills capability, which is why it's locked. I've had that happen to me recently, where I'm working on a mod that creates additional quality tiers that are level gated up to level 400, and crafting an item has generated a version that was higher level than I have access to craft.
