What is the performance difference between BA2 vs loose files? What causes it? How big is it? Does also affect high end machines? I see the BA2 downloads are actually bigger than the loose files. Not a huge difference, but still 10%.
I picked the loose files version of this and Architecture Surfaces Redone. I haven't seen any performance difference with or without the mod (on a RTX4090). Thanks for the mods, looks nice!
Hi man, I'm an absolute fan of your work. I've downloaded Architecture Redone 4K Loose Files recently, and since then, my game crashes when I start it via MO2. I have all your other texture-mods and they work perfectly, only with this one is a problem. I had an error while it was overwriting the textures, saying it was missing something; so I skipped it. Any idea how to get back my old texture-files, so I can try out if the game start again?
Strange, I'm not sure why that would happen, I used the loose files version for a while without any issues. Can't speak to what you should do because I don't know what the error you got was... Sometimes files get corrupted on download, so you could try downloading them again?
Nice, thanks for the info. Which option do you suggest to someone that uses Vortex as Mod manager? Which is the criteria to follow in order to choose BA2 rather than Loose? I try to give an answer: since I'm using at the moment "HD reworked Project" mod and i'd like to switch to this mod, i'm guessing that installing your mod manually will overwrite the DDS files installed by HD reworked mod, so my choice at the moment is for Loose files version, correct?
You can just uninstall HD Reworked and then install this however you'd like. Vortex will install the BA2, but you'll need to edit the ini file yourself still
Ok thanks, i've installed the BA2 version with Vortex, added the corresponding string inside the Starfield.ini file but what happened is that almost all of my other mods has been disabled. Can you tell me why? Now, i've reverted the game folder from a previous backup copy so now is everything back to normal and i'll try installing the Loose version, but i'd like to manage this mod via Vortex so i can be updated on future release.
This is the result after appending the corresponding string at the end of the string
Hello, awesome work AGAIN! Currently, I am using another HD BA2 Retexture mod, which I really like, but I am also using your HD loose files: Barrett, Sam, Andreja, Spacesuits, Artifacts, Eyes/Brows/Lashes, which are amazing, thank you.
Two questions: 1) Will you, maybe, do a Sarah Redone? 2) Can I pick and choose from the 4K loose file DL of Architecture Redone and just use the contents in LANMARKS, to keep away from conflicts?
The BA2 file for the 2k mod is named "Architecture Redone - 2K.ba2" should I still change the StarfieldCustom.ini file per the mod description page, or follow the naming convention of the BA2?

You might not notice much difference on a high end system

"Full 2K
BA2 v3 Recommended for best performance
See main description tab for installation instructions "
for both "Architecture Redone 2K" and "Architecture Redone 4K" ?
Also, what "Loose" files are? Sorry, probably this is a n**b question
Loose means they are not packed in a BA2 archive

Yes, I am planning to do Sarah soon
If you use a mod manager it's easier to manage conflicts, but sure, you can also just delete what you don't want to use manually.
