I found sort of a work around. Disable the mod to install habs then enable the mod to work on the rest of the ship. This way you can still use the mod for everything except the hab modules.
If you are using Vortex to manage your mods, click on the Green "Enable" button for StarUI Ship Builder. this disables the mod. Then when you want to re-enable the Mod, click on the "Disable" button, this will re-enable the mod.
I'm not going to say, "Are we there yet?" as much as I want to ask. There were too many broken things in the Star UI suite that I uninstalled them all so I can see what this new Starfield version has to show. And wow. Do I miss it!
Also can confirm this. Hopefully the mod author didn't abandon the game or this mod. I found the ship builder UI to be way better. The only issue I had after the update (and a clean reinstall of the game), was that the Habs section is broken with the Ship Builder UI installed. All the other StarUI modules work fine for me so far.
I can confirm this too. I think BGS renumbered the form IDs of all Habs in order to implement the new empty habs for decorations and such. So only Habs section of this mod was affected by the May update. So sad...I really loved this mod. I uninstalled it and shipbuilding is so inefficient and confusing now...
These UI mods are critical to my starfield enjoyment! Thanks for all your work.
I think the beta has borked the display of habs because of the new empties. the hab submenu does some odd things, like redrawing over itself, and other mischief. I'm not able to see or select most of the available habs. I'll do some experimenting to see if there's a away around it, or if its another plugin entirely.
I tried installing this mod with Vortex and got the following error:
Deprecated Fomods
Vortex detected 1 FOMODs which are using the deprecated Vortex plugin option. This option is no longer required and will cause the FOMOD to deploy incorrectly. Vortex will attempt to fix the FOMOD for you and it is recommended to inform the Mod Author to change his configuration file and remove the Vortex Flag. Alternatively you can re-install any affected FOMOD manually and select the MO2 plugin option instead.

I hope this helps
If you did loose installation, I guess you have to remove files
here's a link to that comment section:

Maybe the same will work for this one too?
But no, it's not that issue. Hab section is still bonkers due to how Bethesda reworked it.

XXXOOO
And also, Vortex says that they conflict.
It's frustrating that our only indication of how many modules we've used is when we get the notification that we can't use anymore.
