The way the 1.11.36 update broke this mod is kind of hilarious.  Fully suited up, I'm completely invisible except for my hands.  I just went around punching people with my floating hands lol.  But seriously, though, I need my Mantis suit back.  That is literally the spacesuit I always wear.  I hear jmpz11 made a handy migration tool for updating mesh based mods for 1.11.36 compatibility.

I haven't tried updating this with the migration tool yet.  I'm not very experienced with meshes and nifs, but I'm learning.  But I'm going to need to do it for myself if the author of this mod doesn't do it and release an update.  If I get it fixed for myself, I'd be happy to share my fixed copy with anyone who wants it while we wait for this mod to get officially updated.

I just tried it and it works. If you are using MO2 just point it to the folder with this mod in it and run the batch update; Spells -> Bulk Update to SF 1.11.33 Mesh Paths.

The folder should be something like C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\Starfield\mods\Bane Spacesuit - Mantis Replacer\

I don't know what Vortex does but I wouldn't want to do a bigger update on the data folder itself in case there are unintended consequences.

I use kind of a mashup from different suit mods but it worked just fine.

Yeah, I did get around to running the tool about a week ago and it works perfectly fine.  I fixed all my mods with it.  And I don't use mod managers.  Thanks!

The original Mantis suit is so ridiculous and ugly there are not words for it thanks to your mod I now enjoy using the Mantis mod because it actually looks cool and stealthy and intimidating and awesome, perfect for bounty hunts.
Thank you very much for this mod!

The carbon look of the backpack is absolute awesome by the way. LOVE IT!!

Hey, I'm sorry to post this here, but I have hoping someone had some ideas that might help.
Firstly, fantastic mod. I use it exclusively for my playthough. I CC upgraded my suit and gave each piece the chameleon perk. Sometimes when I quick travel to ship, I remain in chameleon appearance, without the effect. If I remove each piece and then equip again, it fixes it. Anyone have an idea, what causing it and how to fix. Kinda breaking the emursion. Like I said sorry to post here, I'm sure it's not because of this mod.
    PC steam manual install
    Thanks

This is SUPER late, but this is a base-game bug. Currently no workaround unfortunately!

This cloaking bug has nothing to do with this Mantis suit. It happens every time with every armor or clothing part that uses the chameleon perk, especially often with this helmet (a rare helmet I guess it is called "Deep Seeker" or "Deep Space Seeker" or something in English) in combination with a pirate backback that cloaks my character while crouching.
Sometimes my characters stays completely half-way invisible like the Predator all the time even after removing the special armor part and all clothing from the inventory and putting in into the ship, or my character is partially cloaked (face, hands, legs...) like in this case :D
Only closing the game and restarting it solves the problem.

Hey there! I love the suit mod but I just had one question. Would it at all be possible to do a version with the Antixeno/UC Marine model of boostpack instead of the current one?

So I downloaded version 1.2 originally, now I see a version 1.3 with the hunter helmet, when I download and overwrite the files, I still have the 1.2 version helmet in game. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I never bothered with mesh replacers until now (waiting for eventual mods that add new colors/meshes as new)... HOWEVER, this is probably my favorite Mantis replacer yet. It's badass, practical and seamlessly blends in. You have tempted me to use a replacer! Congrats, haha!

I love how this armor looks, great job!

If I wanted to use the armor with the original Mantis helmet, is there a way to do that?

Yes, go into the data files and go to meshes.  Delete the helmet and helmet_go files and it will revert back to the Mantis helmet.  You can then apply and retextures you want for the helmet to match the armor.

I did this and removed the files, but the texture is all messed up. Do you know how I'd fix that?

Yes, I'm sorry I forgot to mention that you also have to go into the Textures folder and find all files that mention helmet.  When you delete those it should revert to the normal textures for the Mantis Helmet and then you can apply whatever retexture you want.

Absolutely love what you've done here. Any possibility for a version that doesn't have the neck bar?

"why that design even got past Bathesda's QA is just baffling"

I 100% agree, OP.  Great fucking work on this.  Seriously. As soon as Nexus will allow, I'll endorse.

EDIT: Armor looks good, however it's still Mantis colored?

What do you mean? The armor should look like the images, if you mean somehow your textures are messed up, probably you didnt place the texture files in the correct place

      Thanks for the endorsement

Thanks for the reply.  The instructions say to put everything in the data folder, so that's what I did.   I put mine in steamapps\common\Starfield\Data.  Is the texture folder supposed to go somewhere else?

EDIT:  I just took everything out of the root folder, and put it in the My Games/Data instead, and it's fucking awesome.  Good work, man. Seriously.  I'm not sure why it wouldn't work in the root folder. Either way, GG.

So I figured out the issue.  It doesn't play well with No more junk mod.

They both go into the data folder.  I'll deal with the ugly Mantis suit colors cuz the no more junk is way to good to pass up.

As long as that mod doesnt replace files that this mod does, it should work fine, there shoudnt be a problem, i dont think that mod is your issue, try placing files in documents folder instead

It literally says to just drop the downloaded files into the Data folder so you now have a Meshes folder in the Data folder.  I agree, it shouldn't have anything to do armor stuff.

And that's all I did was drop it into the data folder like it asks.

Well, I finally got it working by dropping both your mod, and the no more junk in the My Games/Starfield/Data folder.  I'm not sure why that matters compared to the steam side, but here we are.

I'll say again.  Well done, OP. Well done.  There somewhere we can buy you a coffee?

Im using the no more junk mod too. Only need to copy the bane mod in my games data folder. No need to move the no more junk one.

I met with the same problem, it seems like if you already have any other mod that add "meshes" folder in "data", than you have to place "meshes" and "texures" folders into Documents/My Games/Starfield/Data as well, or the textures of the armor will get messy

Actually this isn't true. I only have this mod that adds a Meshes and Textures folders to the Data folder in the Steam path. In the Documents there's nothing but the modded Mantis armor still shows funky colors.

I only managed to fix it by also copying the Meshes and Textures folders to the Data folder in Documents.
