to go to back to vanilla. not to mention the vanilla values once you are at vanilla and you use player.getav are going to vary by boostpack type. DO NOT USE FORCE AV OR YOU OVERRIDE THE GAMES VANILLA SETTINGS and you would have to find out what they were for all boostpacks and its different.
When you use setav you are either doing addition or subtraction from the original values, if you type 1 it does +1 to whatever it was, so for example if it was 3 then it would go to 4 and if you type -1 it would subtract it. 0 brings it back to the regular value.
if you fucked up your save and cant load prior to a forceav, put these. also the low high gravity one varies by boostpack type but i dont rmemeber all the values, some were .04 and 0.07 0.7 for high gravity low grav is 0.98
Also your horizontal percentage is so ridiculously off. the vanilla for basic boost pack is 0.85, for skip its like 0.95. if you look at the other horizontal thrust mod you would see 7.65 is the setting for 10x the speed and u literally go absurdly fast with regular gravity, idk how you got vanilla for that.
am i crazy or does it feel like gravity is alot... stronger after doing that, if it helps i also had jetpack overhaul installed (reverted to vanilla using bat file)
you can set the boostpackhighgravitydampeningmult and boostpacklowgravitydampeningmult to something less than 1. but 1 should be as close to vanilla as possible so you might have something else going on. or try setav instead of forceav
dont use forceav settings ever if you want to revert to vanilla ever again. you can do setav 0 to go to vanilla if you just use setav to change the values, forceav ovverides vanilla data. setav does not. the vanilla settings also vary by boostpack type too and setav works for all of them because the original vanilla values are always taken into consideration since its only ever adding or subtracting from that value depending on what you enter and 0 brings it back to the origina, forceav doesnt.
boostpackhighgravitydampeningmult is 0.04 for basic boost packs, 0.07 for skip boostpackLowGravityDampeningMult is 0.98 for the last one you are way off BoostpackHorizontalPercentage (vanilla basic= 0.85, vanilla skip= 0.95, vanilla balanced= 0.60)

This was great! Now I can check out those unknown sites and fight pirates and spacers for loot. It makes me feel like Buck Rogers in the 25th century!!
This mod has completely messed up my boosting. I've even tried to restore defaults but nothing works.
I have no vertical boost now when using the regular jump key. And no matter what values I change my alt jump only pushes me straight forward with no upperward boost at all.
I have nearly 100 mods running and until installing this one everything was fine. I'm not blaming, and I know the fix is easy, I just can't figure out what console command to use to get things back to how they were.
I was already running a boostpack mod, and that was great, but even reinstalling that one doesn't fix the issue I'm now having.
So, after some further tweaking I have mostly fixed it, but I still have this weird effect where after using my boost the first time, either the alt, or default jump, it's like I'm in extreme gravity and get pulled hard towards the ground. Even with regular boost I can only go up once no matter how much boost energy I have. Not sure which command/s is causing this, but any help would be appreciated. I'll report back if I figure it out.
I made my own custom bat command. Put those into a txt file, name it whatever you want (I named mine betterboost), save it to your main Starfield directory with the exe in it, and then edit your ini accordingly. The value that gives you upward thrust is the first one in the list. I have it set to -50 and tested it on a planet with 1.4 gravity and it gives upward thrust with both boosting methods.
Change that number higher and you'll get more upward thrust. I tested it as high as 650, and when set that high, you shoot like a rocket into the sky.
The second number is your horizontal thrust, so adjust that according to how you want to move in a horizontal direction.
The 2 values I have set to -800 gives infinite thrust using either boost method, so if you don't want that, adjust the number towards 0.
Get on a planet and play around with the values and you'll find something you like.
thanks insiDisReaL, your's working like as charm Now I can brake fall by tapping space bar instead of flying in to the sky in low grav planets. And holding space bar lifts me as high as I need. Going horizontal is no problem as well. Finally jet pack feels like something nice. Not as good as jetpack from GTA San Andreas, but still
Players need to use FORCEAV to reset the settings back to vanilla. SetAV won't cut it. Or at least, it didn't for me.

Yes, by holding space I go up by jumping and with the ALT key only the horizontal is dynamic but even deleting the old boosts doesn't change anything. I think I'll settle for the keyboard for the horizontal boost
This mod (seemingly) irreversibly changed my boosting. Like insiDisReaL, I attempted to restore defaults and it did not work. I gathered the default values before I ran the commands, and even after I changed the variables back to default my vertical boosting was ruined. I had to load a save from before I changed anything, which was two hours of gameplay ago - this is my fault, I should have made a pre-mod save, but modder beware.
now this is really interesting and weird. i had someone else report their boost got messed up but that was because i forgot a line and he said it got fixed in the new version. did you try setting the gravity values (the ones that become 5) to 1?
also try what @NeuroticPixels said: Player.forceav boostpackhighgravitydampeningmult 1 Player.forceav boostpacklowgravitydampeningmult 1 Player.forceAV BoostpackHorizontalPercentage 7.65
Yep. I tried setting all that, saving, and restarting the game. Still had basically no vertical thrust.
It seems like a lot of these values are calculated when you land somewhere, and setting them to a static value messes it up somehow and makes it so they are not calculated again, ever, after manually setting them.
this is very strange. i have been on low and high grav environments, turned it on and off countless times, tweaked values beyond reasonable and have yet to experience this issue so im not very sure what could be done. If you're in a ng+ save, try starting a new ng+. after story completion everything resets it seems. and also try switching boostpack before that
If somebody is confused about the ALT Jump button that is talked about in the other posts... here is the full breakdown in youtube format: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTobwzJ3orE (not affiliated, i just thought i spare you looking through 5 bad videos before finding a good one)
speed comparisons between the different mods included.
TLDW: skip pack is the fastest but lacks verticality (use on low gravity planets), balanced is a tiny bit slower but has more verticality (use on higher gravity planets)... the other 2 options are just bad slow and very much about verticality, maybe if you need to climb something really high up.

player.setav Boostpackthrustsustained 0
player.setav BoostpackHorizontalDragCoefficient 0
player.setav BoostpackHorizontalInputTrigger 0
player.setav BoostpackHorizontalPercentage 0
player.setav BoostpackHorizontalVelocityTrigger 0

^ copy and paste those lines into your console.

Player.forceav boostpacklowgravitydampeningmult 1
Player.forceAV BoostpackHorizontalPercentage 7.65
Player.forceav boostpackhighgravitydampeningmult 1

should be
Player.forceav boostpackhighgravitydampeningmult 0.5
Player.forceav boostpacklowgravitydampeningmult 0.5
atleast for me that's how "normal" feels like
fAirborneJumpingHighGravity
fAirborneJumpingLowGravity
fAirborneJumpingStandardGravity
fJumpHeightMin
boostpackdraininitial
boostpackdrainsustained
boostpackthrustinitial
boostpackthrustsustained
boostpackTimeToSustained
BoostpackHorizontalPercentage
Then those will all effect how the settings

feel.
