Hey, thanks for this, the visuals and perf improved a lot from the vanilla settings. Could you be so kind to upload the starfield.ini only from the optional download? thje one with the vram files, I need it but i don't want to download the whole 7gb again. Thanks!
Hello i wanna say tnx a lot i was searching a lot for performance mod on fps for open world areas because there i had 25 fps with ryzen 5 3600 and rx570 4gb Now with your Ultra Performance Mode i have 40 fps on Ultra graphics with that mode and i like it a lot tnx a lot :)
hi and many thanks for your mod. Using the "performance" setup with a GTX 1080 GPU, I get 50/55 fps on Ultra (vanilla was 28/30 fps).
Since the last starfield patch I had an issue with flickering lights inside buildings that I could fix by removing "bGroupRenderAllShadows=1" in "StarfieldCustom.ini", just sharing in case other ppl have the same pb.
Also in response to a comment below about invisible glass, I had the same pb, you just need to remove or rename "glassnoise_opacity.dds" in "\Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data\Textures\common\glass" and glasses will be back.
Fantastic, made the game so much more enjoyable, thank You! Just one question, I am using Worse Visuals option and all glass is completely invisible. Any way to change it in ini? Or should I just try and install the other version of the mod?
Thanks! It's a shame not a single YT video was done on it, its one of the lesser popular perf mods despite being very effective and well tested. I wish their was a way I could spread the news more!
Great mod! Using a 3060 GPU and a Ryzen 7 5800 processor (ROG Strix 2021) and the game definitely pushes the limits of the laptop but is not, by any means unplayable. Don't give me hate - I'm a noob and this is my first gaming PC :) I also like portability lol.
I've noticed a huge difference with the freezing and stuttering during combat and in NA. Much less frequent, and shorter duration when that stuff does happen. It seems like after installing the mod, the game takes a little bit longer to initially boot up but the trade-off is that the in-game loading screens seem shorter too (i.e. opening a door, using elevator, grav jumping, etc.)
I've been playing on Ultra preset with a few things dropped to High since vanilla install. Dynamic res off. 70% upscale (can get away with 50% still looking crisp though). Same goes for after installing "same visuals better perf" variant of your mod. Also using ReShade for a few tweaks and, everything combined has this game looking amazing and performing pretty well.
Why? You have the Vanilla ones on your PC. Everyone should back them up, you can compare them easily yourself. If I add an extra DL that includes that option some noobs will get confused and try to install it
When look around quickly (or just at a regular speed some of the time) some darker shadows pop in for a split second at the edges of my screen, and sometimes at certain angles shadows pop in and out in the middle of the screen. Happens regardless of what settings I set in-game. I have my FOV set to 118, which the shadows maybe aren't set up to work well with? Lowering to 115 slightly helps with the shadows on the edges, but even still, no matter my FOV, specific angles make a lot of shadows pop in and out near the middle of my screen. Thoughts?
This may have been mentioned. But, what happends when you mix the settings. For instance, on is high and the other is ultra. Do these custom settings then read from the various files?
