Can someone confirm that this doesn't override your reload speed while using skills, items, clothes, or magazines that also increase your reload speed? In my testing, it seemed to add to it versus overriding it, but I want to be certain that the implementation was correct.
I downloaded due to the janky reload interruptions from well... pretty much everything in game. But it feels like whatever setting it's changed to there's not a lot of speed increase, gone up to 1.25 and still feels the same. The ammo counter updates faster but the animation keeps going for what feels like the same time. It's hard to side by side but the difference feels so marginal even on a hefty increase.
Interesting, the 120% increase makes me reload speed insanely fast -- does that happen with all weapons or a specific weapon? Not that it matters, I don't know of any other way to change reload speed. Are you sure you have SFSE and CCR installed?
Yeah I've double checked and they are where they need to be.
I'm mainly using the Pacifier at the minute due to a fantastic drop on it, I've tried some others and again, if there is an increase it feels super marginal and not obvious to the naked eye. Out of interest are you running the reload speed skill for ballistics in game as well? I had already taken it on this save due to the jank to try and ease it but it proved a bit garbage in practice. That's the only other reload related thing that is affecting this save file/character.
One of the reasons I made this was because I was disappointed with two different +30% reload skills feeling completely pointless, as if they did nothing at all, but this extra 30% actually made it feel more like it should.
I also tried the 60%, 90% and 120% on a secondary character without any perks and they all worked as they should -- though I only tried it with the one or two weapons she had on her.
Well i found an answer about that, which is fucked up but hey i'll share it here anyway might help some people, so the reloading bonuses from perks ( Reloading one, or the rifle rank 4 +30% reload speed when not moving ) actually only work if you have no throwables equipped. So take off your nades and enjoy the upgraded reload speed. Hopefully this will get fixed but in the meantime id rather have more reload speed than nades.
Really? I'll have to try that, because I almost always have a throwable equipped... could be why it never felt like they did much.
Edit: Forgot to edit this a few days ago, but yep, you're absolutely right. Hopefully they fix that soon. Still, I have no issues with 30% extra reload speed across the board.
That's actually the tool I was trying to use, but at the time it just felt like too much to learn. One of these days I'll build one for practice, because if I'm going to keep releasing mods, it would be a good skill to have.
I absolutely loved building settlements in Fallout 4 because there were so many benefits--you were providing a place for survivors to stay, helping to rebuild civilization, crafting a home for yourself, and producing goods you directly need.
I don't feel any motivation to build anything in Starfield. Bad enough that any spot you pick is basically random and meaningless, and you build to gain tremendous quantities of what, aluminum and iron, so you can xp farm, but every time I try to build, I get stopped by the need for some random element like lead.
...for building an airlock.
I just throw up my hands and ask myself "Why bother?"
@LionCerieals, I can do that -- my first request! :)
For future reference, you can easily do it yourself as well by opening the .toml file in this mod using Notepad, and replacing the 0.30, 0.60, 0.90 or 1.2 value with 0.15. I'll do it this time, though.

I'm not sure what else would be affecting yours.

FYI - there is a tool that will build the FOMOD for you. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6821
