Just installed this. I am not used to Resahde. But now there is a filmgrain / saltpepper effect. How do I turn that off?
Disregard. It was native Starfield, its just the reshade made it way more noticable.

By far the best reshade preset I've used for Starfield, in fact this may be one of the best I've used for any game. Thanks for the upload

After installing   this  the screen would flicker with objects popping on and out. Any idea why this is? Had to remove it. Also have Luts and HDR Mod

    Thank You

Experiencing this as well with Rudy102_STARFIELD_BASE_LUTs_NATURAL.ini as of Starfield update 1.8.86, but I wasn't before :( I suspect that one of the new implementations by Bethesda in the recent updates (such as Frame Generation) is causing these visual defects with Rudy's lovely Reshade presets

EDIT: Just tried turning off Frame Generation in StarfieldPrefs.ini (uiFrameGenerationTech=0), ran around for 5 mins and sure enough, no weird multi-colored screen flickering with Reshade

I have RTX 2070 Super, so frame generation from Nvidia is not for me.
With the unofficial version of frame generation based on AMD solutions, that I use, no problems with ReShade.

Would any of the presets work with Luma - Native HDR and more?

Just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue?  With the recent update and when Frame Generation is turned on in the game's settings, I CTD when switching presets with {page up} or {page Down}, usually on the third time.  The only thing I could see in the DMP file created was an issue with Nvidia's driver, nvwgf2umx.dll.

    Thoughts?

    I don't get the instructions.
you select the direct X version but then what? What preset do you select? ReshadePreset or one of the files from the reshade preset folder ?

Then I'm confused too. What is "Rudy102_STARFIELD_ALL_SHADERS.ini" for?

"Download my mod archive. Unpack it. Inside there are three folders - "reshade-Rudy102-presets", where you will find all the presets (I didn't
want to clutter the game's main directory), "reshade-Rudy102-initializing preset" with preset called: "Rudy102_STARFIELD_ALL_SHADERS.ini" is only used to install all the necessary shaders, do not use it in the game, and - "reshade-screenshots", where your screenshots will be saved."

Is there something not clear in this information?

This is to allow the RESHADE installer to automatically select all the FX files needed for the other presets, so that when you switch between them, they all work as they should.

For example, if you need A, B, C files for preset 1, and B, C, D, E files for preset 2, then select "Rudy102_STARFIELD_ALL_SHADERS.ini" file during installation, and then it will download A, B, C, D, E files automatically.

If my "ReShade.ini" file is copied to the game folder before installing ReShade, this preset - Rudy102_STARFIELD_ALL_SHADERS.ini" - should be automatically selected by the installer, allowing the required shaders to be installed.

Yo you should add "If my "ReShade.ini" file is copied to the game folder before installing ReShade, this preset - Rudy102_STARFIELD_ALL_SHADERS.ini" - should be automatically selected by the installer, allowing the required shaders to be installed." to the instructions cuz this really cleared things up for me. Although I admit this is my second time installing and the first time i understood, I'm just stupid and forgot.

Is it possible to have more than one preset installed? If so what is the procedure?

If you do the installation according to the instructions, you have access to all presets, and you can change them on the fly using the Page Up Page-Down keys.

I am a long time fan of your work, however I am in a dilemma.

I can either use MO2 or use ReShade, I can't use both as ReSahde bricks my controller. If I run without MO2 and just run ReShade I have no Issue, If I use MO2/Vortex and no ReShade no issue, If i use MO2/Vortex AND Reshade I can only use my keyboard as it bricks the controller.

Steam overlay is off, Controller is set up in steam and does work fine without ReShade. I have also tried to renamed a DLL file yet that didn't work either. Why is ReShade having an affect on controllers, I can't find an answer anywhere and I'd love to use and try out your preset, I was using StarFX which is great also but with the MO2/Vortex issue I had to choose between using mods or using ReShade which breaks my heart because the one huge thing missing is better lighting and shadows and colors.

Thanks for your time, hope someone has a answer as to whats going on with this issue.

    PS.
I don't have this issue with Skyrim or Fallout 4, just Starfield only.

So a few things. First that is weird that you can't use ReShade and MO2. It's usually issues with another overlay program. If you are using MO2 are you using the force libraries mode for sfse_loader.exe? Make sure you are using that to force it to use the steam overlay without running it through steam. Second make sure your file structure is using dxgi.dll. I heard if you rename it you can use that but I have mine set to dxgi (default) and I run it through MO2 with no issues. I will post my edit for reference. Hope it helps!

      I finally did get it resolved with S.A.S.L - (Starfield Advanced Steam Launcher) - SFSE - MO2 - IntervalSave - One-Click Integration
      S.A.S.L - (Starfield Advanced Steam Launcher) - SFSE - MO2 - IntervalSave - One-Click Integration at Starfield Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)

Thank you though for your input and advice, I really appreciate it. Apparently, I wasn't the only one with this issue.
