About this mod
Tweaks the crowd system with changes to age, body, clothes, hair, ancestry based on location. For example, Neon has younger and skinnier citizens with asian ancestry being more prominent. New Atlantis has more citizens of african ancestry than Neon and Akila... Overall, the citizens are more fit and younger. Crowd loot improved too!

New in 0.3 version update:
- Reworked all mod spawn lists
- Added Neon corporate clothes (Xenofresh, Generdyne, Ryujin) and spaceport clothes to spawn lists. They now have a chance to spawn in all locations, with Neon having a higher chance to spawn citizens with these clothes than other locations.
- Modified all clothes spawn lists for a better variety
- Modified all hair and hat spawn lists for a better variety
- In Neon, more younger citizens spawn at night, especially at the Astral Lounge
- Strikers and Disciples gang members now have a chance to spawn in their parts of Ebbside (since they are part of the crowd group, they will run when attacked, I haven't found a way around this yet)
- Each major location (Akila, Neon, New Atlantis, The Well) has its own spawn list with unique spawn rates of clothes, hairstyles, hats, age, body types for their citizens.
It is recommended to save in a location without crowd citizens before updating or you might not see a change immediately after the update without travelling from/back to the location with crowd citizens.
New in 0.2 version update:
- All hair colors now spawn (23 in total vs 14 in vanilla), Neon has its own color spawn list with more colorful hairstyles spawning more often.
- Each location has its own hairstyle spawn list. In Neon, more "wilder" hairstyles like cyber fade, hairspray bob and mullet spawn more often. New Atlantis and Akila has a more "conservative" hairstyles spawn list, but in every spawn list there is a chance to spawn all types of hairstyles. Added the possibility to spawn a bald citizen (2% chance). Ryujin, Generdyne and Xenofresh workers have their own spawn list like in vanilla with Ryujin spawning more "business" style haircuts than others. New colors apply to all.
- Hats spawn less often and have a different chance to spawn for each hat type based on location
- Each location has its own clothes spawn list. Now all clothes types spawn everywhere but with a different rarity. So Neon clothes can now spawn in Akila or New Atlantis and vice versa. For example, New Atlantis has a 70% chance of spawning New Atlantis style and 30% chance of spawning Neon/Akila clothes styles. Minor locations that had their own clothes type spawn list in vanilla (Ryujin, Generdyne, Xenofresh) aren't affected.
- Chance for male old citizens of european ancestry to spawn (the mesh for male old european is present in vanilla game files but it is never used in vanilla, unfortunately there is no mesh for female old european in the game files). I have created the needed records for the male variant to spawn.
- Small tweaks to spawn rate lists in all locations
What it does:
- Tweaks all zones where crowd citizens spawn (New Atlantis, Neon, Akila, Cydonia, The Well ...)
- Makes citizens overall younger and healthier
- All locations now have citizens with a different mix of age, ancestry, body type*
- Adjusts spawn rate at night/day a bit
- Further adjustment based on location, for example a poor location like Ebbside, The Well and The Stretch have more skinnier citizens than commercial districts in New Atlantis, New Atlantis has more older citizens than Akila. Neon has more citizens of asian ancestry than New Atlantis and Akila, while Akila has the most citizens of european ancestry etc.
- Tweaks citizens' loot for more rewarding pickpocketing. They now carry more credits, chems and you have a tiny chance to loot some rare stuff, including aurora and contraband.
What it doesn't:
- Tweak the individual faces or meshes (while it would be nice to change some, I am not that far yet)
- Texture replacement
- Make everyone look the same (young, european, ...) - there is still variety with all types spawning
- Tweak overall spawn density
Installation
- Install with mod manager of your choice or manually by copying CrowdCitizensTweaks.esm to your Starfield Data folder and adding *CrowdCitizensTweaks.esm to your plugins.txt
Compatibility
- Should be compatible with every mod that doesn't change crowd region, crowd outfits and crowd heads leveled lists records.
- Fully compatible with Thicc Civilian Outfits mod by Kaoru (please check it out and endorse if you like).
- Should be compatible with any mod that replaces vanilla civilian crowd meshes and textures.
Bugs
- I haven't encountered any so far, no missing heads or hair (except for a 2% chance where a bald citizen might spawn, that is intentional in version 0.2), the mod doesn't touch meshes or textures.
Q&A
- "Will you upload the mod to Creations?" - No.
"Why are there no old people in Akila?" - If you've got to travel, by the nine divines, stay on the roads, it is the Ashta you see.
