Welcome to my very first mod!
This is the first mod of my (probably) remake series, where I intent to make better looking (or more like what I prefer) sprites for the villagers (And maybe portraits?), and also, just how I said with huge letters, my very first mod (at least a completed and posted one)! Hope you all enjoy! :3
I decided to make another sprite replacement to Alex and (one day) all the villagers from scratch, without inspiring on any other mod (so I'll prevent making more mistakes with credit and permission things), so this mod will likely not have any other updates (besides maybe the seasonal clothes if I get permission to do so), this also go for portraits. I'll be working on my new and fully mine mod on my spare time, so it can be ready fast or slow, maybe I'll post some images of how it's looking sometime when I have something more concrete. Also for my new mod I'll be making portraits that fit the sprite, and I have the intention of making some villagers a little different from the vanilla.
What this mod does:
Compatibility:
This mod probably don't work with any mod that changes Alex's sprites (But you could always download my mod and overwrite some other mod Alex's sprite pngs with mines, I do that a lot myself).
Will not work properly with portraits mods if you activate the config for swimsuit on any beach.
Installation:
You need Content Patcher for this mod to work
Just extract the zip file somewhere and drag the (CP) Alex Remake to you Mods folder and enjoy! :)
Seasonal:
The seasonal clothes are just pngs, so you will need Seasonal Outfits - Slightly Cuter Aesthetic to use them. The installation is the same for V1 and V2.
Go to the assets folder in Seasonal cute (should be something like [CP] Seasonal Cute Characters/assets) that should be on your mods folder
Paste my Characters folder inside the assets folder and let it overwrite all (you can go to the folders and see if it really overwrited if you wish)
Enjoy!
Note: There are two files with seasonal clothes: V1 and V2. The V1 is with my own style (if I can, I'll make the flower dance one look better one day) and the V2 is with poltergeister, Ailin, Alvadea and Pereira's styles, used at slightly cuter aesthetic (spring, winter and flower dance only) that I got permission to use. I recommend you choose only one (V1 or V2), but if you don't care about mixing the portraits, then go ahead and download both! I'll see if I can make a portrait that fits slightly cuter aesthetic or the vanilla ones at a later date.
Uninstall:
Delete the (CP) Alex Remake folder from your Mods folder. No worries, this will not break your game (as far as I know).
Also a HUGE thanks for Poltergeister for the incredible mods Slightly Cuter Character Sprites and Seasonal Outfits - Slightly Cuter Aesthetic, from witch I adapted the flower dancing attire and kinda inspired the hair's front view, Alvadea, Pereira1495 and Ailin for giving me permission to use their spring and flower dance attire.
Another BIG thanks for CommanderWaddles for their mod Sexy Alex Muscular Sprite, witch inspired me to make the side view of my Alex's hair.

What this mod does:
- Changes Alex's vanilla sprites to my version of him
- Enhances some of his animations to make it less awkward
- Make his clothes more portrait-accurate
- Make his body a little more muscular, but not overly.
- Gives him seasonal clothes (see installation)
- Optionally makes Alex wear his swimsuit on summers when at the local beach (configurable, default is False. Will not work on festivals)
NOTE: This option will also change the portrait, so do not activate it if you use any portraits mod
