This is more of a general question than anything else, are there any mods that add portraits that match his outfits? It is jarring seeing a different outfit sometimes in the portrait and wanted to try to find a fix.
I didn't even realize you haven't finished the whole mod! If portrait updates is something you plan on adding later than I'm more than happy to wait! I just wasn't sure what the future of this mod looked like or if there were separate mods that meshed well with this one.
I LOVE this mod. You did muscular Alex the best!! I was wondering if I wanted to add an outfit, to fit a seasonal Cute Character Alex portrait, would I be able to do that somehow? In this instance its the Luau character sprite outfit I want to add ^^
I tried this, I'm having some issues. Still shows as Alex summer outfit.I hope this can help, but this is what it looks like in the folder: Outfit folder
I tried it with the egg festival as well but same issue there. I'm determined to figure this out 😤
okay I'm editing this post because this is interesting. I saw on some other mod pages that they experienced some issues with mod managers/vortex, so I uninstalled this mod on Vortex and instead moved the "[CP] Alex Mustacular" folder right into the stardew valley mod folder! And it kind of worked?! At least the festival sprite is overlapping the seasonal outfit xD I'll keep tinkering and update if I figure anything more out!
I have this installed now and I love it. Please consider doing this mod with some of the other men in Stardew Valley and possibly other NPCs too. I think it is compatible with Diverse Stardew Valley from what I have seen.
You're welcome and I did want to ask, is there any way I can use your mod and use this one at the same time? I like what xxxx1981 did with Alex flexing in the portrait.
I hope I don't sound rude, but are you planning on updating this mod for 1.6? I don't mean to rush you in any way, I am just curious. Thanks in advance!
Hey, I love your work with Alex. I use this mod for 1 month and really satisfied.
I can't find any portrait that match his seasonal outfit. Because I don't want to ruin the fun of this mod, I use Seasonal Cute Characters, and that mod has match portrait to Alex outfit (in this mod)--in my opinion/taste. I slightly edit code in that mod so the portrait of Alex got seasonal and the sprite still use this mod. Now, my sexy Alex is perfect, also other NPC got seasonal outfit too, haha.
Sorry Author if I am talking nonsense, I just want to share my joy with you. XOXO

It works for me, at least right now. If I do something unnecessary please enlighten me, I don't understand much this kind of thing.
Oh really? Won't the sprites overlap because they both change Alex's? So what should I do, can I return the changes I made to how they were before? Or should I do something else?
Amazing mod! I was searching thoroughly for something that is pretty much... well, this mod.
However, after finding another mod of the bachelorettes gaining muscle, I was wondering if you would ever consider adding events in maybe a variant of the mod which expand this aspect of Alex, and maybe, idk, show his gains over time? From my skim-reading of the bachelorette mod, it seems that they have an event that triggers on marriage to give them even more gains.
It might not even require much sprite jigging or new sprites if you have basically his vanilla model (or one of the improved model mods) as a base, and then have him transition to your mod's model over time? I'm not familiar with SV modding back-end, so I have no clue how feasible this would be.
Idk, just a thought that would add a cool progression to the mod that suits the passage of time shown in the game. 2 years on roids would certainly have an effect on the body lol
Either way, this mod is dope, but such an update as this would be amazing!
However, I have to disappoint you. The problem is related to the considerable time commitment your request entails. Alex has six different outfits that I need to adjust for every new body type. Let's assume there are five body types; in that case, I would have to create 24 additional outfits. I believe this might be a bit too much, sorry.
Another significant challenge is the level of detail in SV Characters. If I decrease his arm size by just one pixel, it looks odd. The only potential progress I can think of is to focus on growing his upper body first and, after a few months, address his legs. But, I'm not sure if that aligns with your intention.
Considering my busy real life schedule, it's generally challenging to implement such extensive features. The next priorities for this mod include different hair types, skin colors, and custom-made portraits. However, this will take months, as I mentioned earlier – time that I currently don't have! 😅
Hi, is there a Flower Dance or Spirit Eve sprite in the works? If there isnt I dont mind, but I would like to know. I dont want to rush aswell :)) Also thank you for this mod! I really love it!
🎉✨ Update 3.0.0 is out now! Flower Dance and Spirit Eve Outfits are included! I hope you still play Stardew Valley. It took more time than I expected because I have a very busy real life :D
Ahh! Good to know! This is the default behaviour! However, Seasonal Outfits has changed this so that every character will wear the same outfit throughout the event!
I will fix...change that with the upcoming update!

Thank you! Keep up the good work!
- Move your outfit to AlexMustacular/assets/character/outfit/
- Rename your file to festival_Luau.png
Thats it! .. at least I hope :D Pls let me now if it works!I tried it with the egg festival as well but same issue there. I'm determined to figure this out 😤

I send you a workaround for it these days! I will also implement this into Alex Mustacular 4.1.0!
Have you already tried running both mods at the same time?

I only asking you these things, cause I thought you experienced and issue! I thought my mod has a bug :D But now we know theres all fine.
Yes, Alex Mustacular is 100% compatible with Seasonal Outfits! But not since version 1.0.0. I added compatibility with v1.0.1 a few years ago ^~^
