Welcome to Sam & Vincent's Cola Shop! Or should that be Vincent & Sam's Cola Shop? Either way, the brothers are happy to see you and would love to sell you some lovely items Vincent found lying around. The shop is open every Sunday from 9 am - 3 pm starting in summer year 1.

If you really hate guessing, here's who all likes and hates what. If an NPC's name is not listed, they will like or hate the item according to their category preferences.



Why did you make this mod?
Because I love things that are cute, fun, and full of brotherly bonding. <3 Everything about this mod has been designed to put a smile on my friends' faces as they play, regardless of how practical it actually is to buy overpriced seaweed from an NPC for any reason except to make his little pixelated heart swell with joy and pride.

Compatibility
This mod adds some JA goods, but as far as I know none of the item names are already taken. Even the invisible seeds should not conflict with a certain magical crop pack coming out soon from another mod maker. (Look forward to that one!)

It changes Sam and Vincent's schedules on Sunday, but you can use the configuration to turn that off if you would like. Vincent trusts you so you can buy from the shop even when he's not there. (And if it's raining or a resort day he won't be anyway.)

This mod adds a few lines of dialog here and there for flavor. These may or may not be overwritten by other dialog mods you have and vice versa, but will not cause an incompatibility. You'll just see one line or the other.

Yes, this mod should work with SVE, and in fact some clever mapping had to be employed to make it do so. Love to Tia for assisting with testing!

As to why they're in the shop, Kent once visited Owl Town and taught Sam how to make a few things from there before he left home again.

Can I add something to the Cola Shop?
Yes! However, you'll need to do the coding yourself. Fortunately, it's very easy!

If you just want to add some items for yourself, you can open up the file "shops.json" in the mod STF folder and edit it directly. You can reference this tutorial for more information.

If you would like to add some items via a published mod, you are welcome to do so with a caveat: please keep Vincent's age in mind and make the added items child appropriate. To do so, you will create your own STF mod. You can use the tutorial linked prior for the basic code, and remember that you do not need to repeat any of the existing items (this would cause the inventory for those items to double), just add the code for your own inventory additions.
