Yeah, I too am being absolutely pelted with the strange dolls. I'm not super far yet, haven't gotten many artifacts, but for every artefact I donated to the museum, I threw a doll into the shipping bin.
I do like the mod, it's just that I'm drowning in dolls lol
got both strange dolls and a LIVING HAT on the first day. wtf?? this mod seemed neat to remove that late-game grindiness for completing the museum but this is just too much
Turned on this and better RNG. Started a new game. Got 2xstrange dolls from the first 2 dig spots. Tried without the mods, got clay. Tried again with the mods, got clay and strange doll. Tried again, got a bone and a strange doll. Something is broken...
Thanks for the mod. It doesn't seem to work for me, with or without EvenBetterRNG. Dozens of geodes and artifact spots and nothing. I have three missing artifacts and two missing minerals. I have multiples of each of the others - some I have dozens - and this mod simply doesn't do what it advertises. Back when I used ASF, it worked wonders, I remember I got what I needed in a couple of weeks of artifact spot digging and geode opening... but this one, just makes no difference - if anything, it feels worse than before.
EDIT: I'm going to try editing the config to change the weight by 0.06 instead of 0.6. See what happens and I'll get back to you. EDIT 2: Nothing. Since uninstalling this mod, I've got both minerals I needed from omni geodes. Still 2 artifacts to go. I dunno. Maybe I'll give this mod another go, try another winter of spot digging and trove farming to see if I get what I need, because can't be much worse than vanilla.
Something in this mod is interfering with the golden walnuts from farming. Prior to removing this mod, I harvested over a hundred crops on the island and got nothing. After removing this mod, I got all 5 with in 30 crops.
