Hello! I had no issues with the events triggering for my first child, I believe that happened with 1.6.1 or 1.6.2 but I'm not completely sure. My second pregnancy started during 1.6.3 and ended in 1.6.4, and the first event (going to the hospital to find out I'm pregnant) did not trigger. The second event (giving birth at the clinic) also didn't trigger..
I'm not sure if this is relevant but I also have the babies take after spouse v2 mod, this mod didn't cause any issues with the events triggering for the first pregnancy. I'm married to Sebastian, and I'm running Smapi 4.0.7.

The moment I married Penny her dialogue has been singularly focused on the fact that she's pregnant, which is strange because she is not actually pregnant.
Now, I see that in content.json, this dialogue is under the category "MARRIAGE DIALOGUE" and affects Characters/Dialogue/MarriageDialoguePenny, so I'm guessing there just isn't an in-game system to categorize dialogue for during pregnancy. Any clue when this can be fixed? (or if there's even an API for it?)
Would be great if someone coded this mod to work with the pregnancy choice mod! I'm a trans man and don't want to have to choose the female farmer to experience this mod
Won't allow my SMAPI to sync with Steam for some reason. Didn't want to open for risk of losing saves, but after I deleted it my game was fine. This is BROKEN for now, even with all the suggested fixes below.
Hey everyone! Through rigorous attempts of trial and error, I finally found the solution to fixing everyone's displacement for the event scenes in 1.6! Specifically for the pregnancy event scene as the birth one seems perfectly fine. (Although, I've only played as a female farmer married to Sam. So I'm not sure if this fixes anything if you're a male farmer with a female spouse, or your spouse is Harvey, sorry.)
Go to the mod's folder and open up the "content.json" file with a notepad app. There, find (ctrl+f) your spouse's pregnancy event and input the exact numbers underlined as the following: 1.
2. Change the 1 into a 0.
3. Delete the 1's from the farmer and your spouse, and the 2 from Harvey. e.g. warp farmer 3 5 1/warp Sam 2 5 1/showFrame Sam 4/warp Harvey 5 8 2
4. Save the content.json file, and that should fix it! The camera and everyone's placement should be exactly the same as it originally was before the 1.6 update. Hopefully this helps! :D
Also if you're wondering if you could ever repeat this mod for your 2nd or + future children, it is possible! I've written this comment last year, and you don't need the Event Repeater mod at all since it's not compatible with 1.6 anymore anyways.
This mod also works w/ Planned Parenthood and The Farmer's Children. Just make sure you see the pregnancy event by entering your house at 6:10 AM right after you've seen the ask from your spouse, to make things go smoothly. (And maybe back up your save files just in case)
Went though hustle to edit every single Spouse available in the mod and apply your fix. Need to tested probably. But here is the modified version of the content.json for those who don't want to mess with files themselves. Remember backup your save just in case. Just replace old content.json in the mod files.
thanks! worked for me, husband being harvey lol. but the birth scene also seems to be messed up idk if all the other bachelors are fine but harveys is misplaced T.T and i have no clue how to fix it lol
thank you so much, can confirm this worked for me, (despite the birth sceneshowing a couple of days affter the vanilla one and the farmer sprite being messed up) but, again, I have other mods not updated for 1.6 where the sprite thing has been an issue as well
I can't trigger the reveal event. Am I doing something wrong? It's Monday and I'm married to Shane, which means that he's in cindersap forest all day. Does that have something to do with it?
Also just a fun suggestion for the future to add adoption events for same-gender relationships!
