Having trouble. i dont see the file anywhere when i download it? it is a file but not a usable file. any idea what's going on? any input would be appreciated.
I'm having some trouble setting the color of my horse, what exactly do I need to input and where? (Fantastic mod by the way, all the animations and sprites are lovely) Edit: turns out I misread one of the other comments and was opening the wrong folder this whole time. My bad!
I'm also confused at figuring out how to change my horse's color. Really want the mustang color to make my horse look like my IRL horse but can't figure out how :(
Edit: literally just figured it out right after posting this comment. Not sure if this is the right/only way to do it, but I opened the .json documents in a code editor and changed it manually.
After downloading the mod into the Mods folder, you will have to load the game once for it to generate a "config.json" file. When you open that file, it will allow you to configure which skin you want (Horse: "insert desired color here")

"Compatible with everything except anything that also replaces the horse." <-- does this preclude the use of AT reskins and/or A'n'S horse skins? Guessing it might since this mod might adjust the size of the animal, but wanted to clarify. Thank you for your help (:
I am honestly not sure, since I haven't gotten into the use of AT, BFAV, or any of the wider skin replacements. I wrote that note thinking about the tractor replacement haha. My worry is about the saddle and blanket, actually, since they add a couple layers over the sprite replacement. If you give it a go please let me know how it works! The horse/sprite sheet itself is the same size as the vanilla sheet.
Ah, I see. I'm learning that A'n'S doesn't play well with CP replacer mods. They load into the game fine but the A'n'S skins seem to take priority. After I removed the skins my Donkey showed up :)
I tried making an AT pack to use more skins since I have more than one horse as a personal experiment. Just the animals, no accessories, tho I'm sure that can be done with a lot more pngs. If it works I can send it to you to add as an optional file.
hi i have a question. ive been wanting to make a recolor of your mod based off of Farm Animal Facelift by siamece and i just wanted to know if if your fine with it?
amazed I never commented on this! been using it for a couple years and I'm in love, I have a soft spot in my heart for donkeys and yours (and all of the options tbh) are soooo cute and really capture what I love about the way they look :) those big soft eyes
