She's on hiatus. Hope she come back or someone else do an unofficial update. You can visit her discord in the description if you want to find out more about that.
I like the idea of this mod. Honestly it does feel a bit weird having to kill hundreds of creatures in order to progress in this game about farming. But I'm not sure about kissing and waving stuffed animals at them either. Perhaps you could add some "moderate violence" option? For example, you keep the vanilla combat but instead of dying, monsters drop their loot and retreat (or display a white flag over their head).
I would like this as well! I don't mind the combat to get the mob drops - I just mind them attacking me. :) I also love having a super cool weapon in my inventory. If we could keep the vanilla behavior but have them just completely ignore us, that would be perfect in my book!!
I actually had a fun glitch recently, the gore was still tiny hearts, the creatures still fell in love with me, but all the weapons were normal looking. It was really great, all the fun of not killing things, but you still get to swing a sword around!
I was actually coming here to suggest it as a config option. An ideal marriage of cool swords & not actually hurting beings or creatures.
I see nothin weird with killing hundreads of creatures in a game about FARMING. A lot of farms are made to exploit and kill thousands of animals for our pleasure. I am actually surprised the game has no killing of farmed animals.
Is there a bug in the way this handles grubs? I cuddle all the grubs and they still turn into flies and kill me. I had forgotten why I removed this mod. Now I remember.
Hi does this work with spouses as well? I love having a pet slime or two in the house but my spouse always try to kill them so I have to lock them upstairs which sucks
This is clever, timely, and emotionally supportive of people who have trouble killing the baby slimes. Those things in Qi's mine, though, the shadow creatures that shoot arrows? I don't know about hugging THOSE.
When Kent comes back, he mails BOMBS to the player. That gets to me. That's the only violent thing I can think of that you aren't including here. I get that he's messed up for good reason, but this is probably my least favorite thing in the whole game, a thing I think should go away. It may work for the GTA crowd, but it doesn't belong in a game as far as I'm concerned. A family member was caught up in an investigation of mailed bombs, thanks to someone making a false report, and though he came through it (being innocent sometimes helps!) it certainly was a huge upset for my family for months and months on end. It's not a joking matter.
You have so many mods that are essential to the longevity of Stardew Valley... I cannot play this game without them! One of them is Pacifist Valley... This one is coming up in the SMAPI log as using deprecated code so I wanted you to know, if you haven't been alerted... I would hate for this one to stop working when SMAPI 4.0 comes out. There are a few other mods of yours that are flagged as having deprecated code, too, but I will post about them on their appropriate downloads.
