    I had someone volunteer to remake this mod into 1.6. They're also quite busy so please be patient.

    I will be deleting any further comments about updating to 1.6. This is your only warning.

    I think Json Assets might have been causing an issue with the current version of the mod. Either that or the newest update of Json Assets detects outdated mod coding and corrects it.

    Either way, I updated Json Assets to 1.11.17 and all the machines I had spawned in were now red signs and completely unusable. I got rid of them and then checked the Crafting tab and all the machines from this mod were now showing the way they did in SDV 1.5.

    I put a couple of them down and tested them with some crops and not only are they no longer turning invisible, but they are showing the working animation that they used to.

    So in conclusion, I think the newest update to Json Assets may have hotfixed the issues for now. That might change in the future, but for now, the mod seems completely usable.

    ETA -- I double checked the JA page and there was a comment from one of the mod authors that JA is now converting outdated item ID code to the new system ID system. Items made/spawned in 1.6 got broken for technical reasons, but any machines or items created after the newest JA update should now look and function like normal. And they are showing up like they did before in Look Up Anything too.

    There's no breaking changelogs in the underlying mods (Producer Framework or Json Assets) but some bug has broken Json Asset item recipes for items that have special characters (spaces, periods, anything that gets mangled when converting to an ID) in their names. If you remove or replace spaces and periods in the item names in each of the json files (both in the [JA] folder and the [PFM] folder, ignoring manifest and config files) the recipes will appear and seem to work fine. There are graphical errors, whenever a machine is animating it's just a vertical black bar, but it functions and automates.

    I have this mod and Industrialization + for PFM, and neither one are showing an error in SMAPI when I load them up in 1.6.

    However, none of the machines are showing up in the recipes or when I search with CBJ Item Spawner. The pulverized versions of the metals and the Chromium items show up, but no machines. So unfortunately, I think this does need an update.

    This is not meant to be a push or demand on the mod author -- I just wanna warn anyone who tries to use the mod in 1.6 that it's technically possible but it's not working correctly so they can go without until the author has a chance to update.

    Stuff is really hectic right now, please be aware that mod authors, especially those supporting multiple mods, are being pulled in many different directions to get everything updated and working.

      if i may make an addendum, it seems that the machines show up in the item spawner now, and the pulverizer shows up in normal recipes. i believe this may be due to an update in pfm. however, the recipe for the kiln to make bricks to make the pulverizer in the first place is not present, and neither is chromium compound, though they remain available in the spawner. inputting items into the machines once spawned, such as ore into the pulverizer, results in the machine turning invisible, but it still produces and will reappear when the item is ready (likely the animation for the... throbbing? machinery is unusable by the game). thus, it's still busted, but hopefully? fairly easy to update? 🙏 god i hope so i would love to add sve, rv and east scarp and this and go insane

      Thanks for information. At least it may provide the maintainer some info. Hopefully he'll look into patching it. This has become one of my must have mods for a long time now, and I'm hesitant on starting a new playthrough without it, simply because I love the use of it, not because it can make things simpler, but it's a lot easier to have 1 keg than 5 kegs, or 5 kegs than 25 kegs, and so on. Just allows my farm to be much cleaner looking in general. Otherwise I end up with multiple sheds full of kegs and it's just annoying to manage.

      An update on this since PFM and PFM Automate have both finally been updated:

      Bluebottle is correct -- it looks like the only reliable way to get the machines is to spawn them in.

      I tested some of them and they work -- it's just that once you put an item in, the machines turn invisible. You can't walk through them but they are invisible until the item they are processing is complete.

      PFM Automate now finally works, and all the machines I spawned in are working but still invisible. They do show up in the Automate UI and they produce the correct items, it just looks like a graphical error.

      I'm going to do some further testing.

      i've been poking around in the [JA] BigCraftables and can see no reason why the pulverizer is the only machine available in the crafting menu, everything says it should be available by default. if anyone with far more experience could perhaps check it out i think the mod would just need graphical fixes and be completely playable

      edit: i've discovered something incredibly strange. if i change all of the machine recipes to be available to be purchased at a shop, the recipes all show up... and are interpreted by the game as light sources? once again, the only machine that is correct is the pulverizer


      (i also realised you can buy the jojacola generator from pierre, both the recipe and the machine itself. the recipe is broken too, but the machine performs like everything else tested; broken graphics when producing)

    I haven't seen any questions about 1.6 updates so I thought I'd ask just to make sure the desire is there. This mod is indispensable to me.  hehe  Any plans for an update to this one?
