for everyone that loves this mod, use Better Sprinklers Plus. It needs a 1.6 update still but the last update was in February so it looks like an active mod still, unlike this one
Is there a way to disable the green highlight grid when placing sprinklers or scarecrows? I have another mod that does it and it tends to conflict with it. Plus it doesn't line up if you zoom in or out at all. I looked in the config but didn't see an option there.
I have tried everything to move my sprinklers around / remove them but the game just won't let me. Is there any way to fix this? Is it because I'm missing something?
I'm having this same issue, pickaxe has no effect other than removing crops and tilled status from one of the 4 squares the sprinkler is centered on, no matter how carefully I aim the mouse it never affects the sprinkler.
That's strange... I've had this mod for a couple years and I've never had that issue. Do you have any other mods that might conflict? I normally use an axe, though I think a pickaxe works just as well for me.
i.e. if you're reading this after September 2023 go straight to that link. If it says "unpublished" still, come nag me.
I've noticed a couple small bugs so I'm just rounding those off before publishing. Until then the drive link is a "it basically works" copy.
Rough changes: - Updates Everything - Adds support for Generic Mod Config Menu - Under "Better Sprinklers Updated" - Options to disable a bunch of stuff, change the pricing multiplier, change hotkeys, etc. - Fixes the overlay when using a controller - This is why I got involved, it wasn't a great experience on SteamDeck
Todo before I publish: - Look at an intermittent issue when clicking OK on the sprinkler editor. - Lots of noise and looping? - Raise a PR with Data Layers to add in the new bundle id and mod name - Test Data Layers
At the moment Data Layers might work if you copy the original manifest.json over the one included in the zip, I haven't checked how that mod picks up the bundleid and mod name for integration yet.
I'll be back to update when I find the time to do some more work.
The future plan: I need to read and understand the balancing code, to see what can be improved there.
I also spotted a comment about showing the price changing when you edit the sprinklers.
Otherwise, it's a pretty simple and elegant mod, I'll probably leave it be and try to keep it maintained for a little while.
How do I pick up a sprinkler once I place it down in the middle of some crops? I've been trying to pick up one sprinkler that I put down and have not put down any more since I wasn't able to pick this one up in the first place. I've tried all my tools, bombs, even clicking on it both left and right... Is there something that I need to press instead?
