Hi! Thanks for your hard work! I've been getting a yellow smapi line:
[01:03:27 WARN Content Patcher] Can't apply data patch "Fishing Made Easy Suite > Include Data/Expansions/FOS/Fishing Minigame/Same Spawn Rates.json > FOS - Same Spawn Rates" to Data/Fish: there's no record matching key 'aztecviper.fishofstardew_SailFin' under Fields.
for example if we turn on Iridium Rod Attach. Slots, then adjust it to 10 slots, then we set it to default.. what will happen to the attachments in the other slots? Please help⊙﹏⊙
That setting there only affects newly acquired Fishing Rods. Not ones that are already in your inventory. So any time you change the setting so it adjusts how many slots are available, you'll have to buy a new rod.
So for instance, if the Iridium Rod is in your inventory and has 2 slots, you save your game and change the slots to 5, you return to your game, the slots on the Iridium Rod in your inventory will still be 2. But any new ones purchased at Willy's shop will have 5.
Very quick to respond, I really like it. So that's it, okay, I understand, thank you for your understanding! I really like the easy mod you made. By the way, in the Android version, the game suddenly crashes when trying to click the save button on the generic mod. I don’t know why, but everything else seems to be running smoothly.
Thank you very much for making this mod, I have never seen a fishing mod as deep as this. This has replaced most of my fishing mods with all the settings, and so did your other two mods for Combat and Farming. Just a question though, might you consider adding a multiplier on fish caught just like the options for Combat and Farming? I was searching for it earlier and couldn't find it in the options but I might have missed it.
Unfortunately that cannot happen right now with how the mod is coded. The feature you're asking is hardcoded. But it may be something I can work into in the future!
No worries, thanks for looking at it anyway. If ever you decide to check it in the future, I found two mods that do the same thing differently which can serve as an inspiration.
https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/22920 - Level Forever makes it something like a buff and would provide extra yield without multiplying the catch itself. This takes the level of the skill into consideration.
https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5815 - Fishing Assistant multiples the number of catch literally and can be set to a maximum of 8 (not in the config). Anything above that crashes the game.
But again, even without this feature, your mods are already spectacular, especially when all three are combined. It can get cheaty but I use yours to create extremely difficult challenges. Thank you very much for making this happen.
if you use the kinda cheaty instant & always perfect catch settings with challenge bait you always get 3 fish if you want to triple your catches without needing any other settings... but you'd have to complete mastery to do this, and make all the bait. Still, catching 3 iridium fish per cast is a broken money maker even without artisan/smokers involved....
I really don't understand how the mod needs an update when it's fully compatible with the latest version of Stardew. As far as I'm aware, the mobile version should be on the same version as PC?
hoi again, I've been playing with Lunna Astray (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6626) and only recently learned it has fish! might be worth adding compatibility for? x3 thanks again for all your hard work (and excellent documentation!!)
hi i was wondering if there's a way to preserve my settings whenever the mod gets updated? it such a hassle having to adjust them to my liking all the time lol
It comes from the config.json file that's created upon launching the game. Any settings you change will be updated in that file.
If you're deleting the mod every update, you don't need to do that. You can copy or extract the mod back into the Stardew Valley/Mods folder and replace any files when the prompt comes up. Your config file will still be there.
You can always just save the config.json file too and put it back into the Fishing Made Easy Suite folder when it's in the Stardew Valley/Mods folder.
If you're using a mod manager...I'm not too sure how some handle config files.
But again, I would either just Extract/Copy the mod back into the mods folder. And manually save your config.json file if that makes it more comfortable for you! :)
Support those mods have been added in 7.0.2! It it just the Fishing Difficulty and Same Spawn Rates settings at this time. But further support for other settings will be added at a later time :)

There's already an option for that under the Jelly Fishing section in the settings menu! You can change the spawn rates or remove jelly altogether!

Thanks for the info about the Android version!
Not sure what could be happening there! Is there any logs that show what the error is?
I don't think I could really do anything as I really only develop for the PC version which is also supposed to work with the Android version.
Thank you very much for the support :)
For your question, are you talking about like a fishing xp multiplier or how many fish are caught at a time?
-Legacy
Sorry about that!!

Can you show me exactly what it says? Probably nothing I can do. The mod is fully compatible with the 1.6 update on PC.
Not sure what is exactly different on mobile.
-Legacy
Could you show me where it says incompatible?

The mod should work with the mobile version.

Sure thing! I'll add it to the list :)
Thanks again!!

Your settings should always be preserved!

And I'm glad my mods can help you :D
Sure thing! I'll add them to my list :)
