As I've said in some other places, I'm not active in the Stardew modding community right now, have not been active in a long time, and I will not be updating any of my mods in the forseeable future. I also rarely check any of my nexus notifications, for my own sanity. So I'm not really around that often to speak to directly, and am notorious for not replying to dms for months.
That being said! I have an official disclaimer I'm posting on my mods:
I have no issue with anyone fixing and uploading working versions of ANY of my mods, as long as credit is given somewhere somehow. A link to the original mod, or even a simple "Thanks to Froststar11 for the original mod" in your description is enough. I'm a big supporter of open source. Consider this my blanket permission to bring things into the modern era and keep old mods alive, which is honestly what a good portion of my own mods were in the first place! Feel free to drop a link to your new working version in these comments for other people to use!
Would you object to someone say... doing a version of this but with more BFAV animals and/or the skins they use? Cause I adore this concept but it would drive me nuts cause I use so many animals to not have all of them have signs... But thank you so much for making this and all your hard work and its a really great idea!
I have this installed along with the other required mods but it wont let me place anything. Also some of the signs turn into chairs etc when i click them.
You have to have the "Custom Furniture Anywhere" mod installed to place them outside the farmhouse. And the random item changing into chairs is sadly a known issue with the Custom Furniture mod, so there's nothing I can do about it until the author of that mod updates it to fix the problem.
