As I've said in some other places, I'm not active in the Stardew modding community right now, have not been active in a long time, and I will not be updating any of my mods in the forseeable future. I also rarely check any of my nexus notifications, for my own sanity. So I'm not really around that often to speak to directly, and am notorious for not replying to dms for months.
That being said! I have an official disclaimer I'm posting on my mods:
I have no issue with anyone fixing and uploading working versions of ANY of my mods, as long as credit is given somewhere somehow. A link to the original mod, or even a simple "Thanks to Froststar11 for the original mod" in your description is enough. I'm a big supporter of open source. Consider this my blanket permission to bring things into the modern era and keep old mods alive, which is honestly what a good portion of my own mods were in the first place! Feel free to drop a link to your new working version in these comments for other people to use!
This mod looks so cute but it does not work for me and I am not sure why? :( I have a fruit bat cave, but I have no ladder in the cave and I am not sure how to fix this as SMAPI claims to not have an issue with the mod, help please?
It's always blocked by Content Patcher because "content pack reordered the original tilesheets, which often causes crashes", even when updated. PS: Never mind, I thought the mod was updated
I tested it with a bat cave and it produced just fine. Maybe you're just having a run of bad luck and the bats aren't dropping anything? That happens for a few days in a row sometimes in the vanilla farm cave. Let me know if the problem persists longer than 5 in game days.
It's possible that the fruit was only spawning underneath the decorations I added. But it could also be a conflict with another mod you have installed, because I've heard from multiple users that the fruit spawns just fine. I hope you can figure it out!
I've had this installed since before I got the bats. They have not spawned anything. I will need to uninstall and that makes me really sad cause I love the idea of this mod :{
I'm going to be remaking this mod from scratch in the near future, simply because I've gained a lot more experience and this mod is really messy (It was one of the first ones I did). I'm hoping when I redo it, it'll fix the problem. Thank you all for your patience!
Take all the time you need, coding is hard and requires alot of time and hardwork, even the slightest change never goes underpriciated. Thanks for this beautiful mod.
Hello! I would first like to let you know I absolutely LOVE this mod and would definitely love to be able to use it fully.. However, it is conflicting with another mod I have, that being https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1531?tab=description . The cave shows as the old normal stuff when I try to enter it. Do you have any idea how I could make the two work together?
froststar11, the least you could do is tell someone how to fix the problem if you don't want to do it yourself :/ Or even just link them where to find the info since you responded instead of ignoring.
I... I did? You cannot have two mods that edit the same file. The game will ignore both patches and revert to the vanilla file as it says. There is no fix because it's not possible without hand making a merge yourself that has the parts of each mod you enjoy. I'm not sure why you're acting like I was rude in my response when I answered their question fully LaceyLexi.
Yeah you litteraly gave them the answer, some people just want to fight for no reason. (sorry for my bad English I am Italian 😝) btw are you gonna make so that the mod the fruits and/or mushrooms to grow? Because it's really a shame having to wait for soooooo long to complete certian community center bundles.
Wait so if I have a full mod-map and try to download and use the fairy cave, the fairy cave wont work? (I did start a fresh game and haven't had Demitrius hit me up about my cave yet)

I like the mod, except that it stops the functionality of the cave. My mushrooms aren't growing. I have the UI Info Suite that tells me how many days until the mushrooms are ready. There was no time that they would be ready with this mod installed. Disappointing to be sure. I love the beautiful stuff you have in there and arrangement, etc, but I will be uninstalling the mod until it gets updated to work with the intended functionality of the cave on the current version.
Hey froststar11, I just wanted to say your mod is so cute! It actually inspired me! I want to ask if it was ok to make a few changes and add a little to it? My idea is to add a little quarry to it. I'm new to making my own mods, do you have any suggestions?
You may use my mod as a base. If it's just for personal use, you don't have to do anything. If it's something you'd like to release to the public, then I'd ask for you to credit me for the original design on your mod page with a link to this mod. As for new modding suggestions, the Stardew Valley #modding channel on Discord is a BLESSING. It's where I learned how to do most of my stuff, just by lurking, asking questions, and talking with people.

PS: Never mind, I thought the mod was updated
Uninstall until the bat cave produces at least 1 fruit. Save. re-install. Now the bat cave is producing at the normal rate (random and poorly lol)
