Hi, nice to meet you. I'm translating your mod, platonic ver., into Japanese, and I have a question. In dialogue, Captain Inke seems to have $4 in portraits, but he has $0~$3 portraits in image files. $4 of "Inke.Tue", "Inke.Sun", and "Inke.Thu2" is $3? And I think default.json doesn't have the sentences of events. Should I translate their events.json directly...? I'd be delighted if you reply to my message when you can.
Thanks.
(About romantic ver, I think I'm going to help someone who wants to translate romantic ver.)
🤦 you are correct! That is a mistake on my part. Ahhh, I don't know why when writing dialogue, I'm thinking of the square of portraits and think "1,2,3,4" and have to remind myself all the time it starts with "0." Good catches, I will fix that in the next update and you can know the translation is accurate.
Yes, feel free to translate events directly! I also the extra dialogue files have some sentences.
Thank you!! I fixed Inke's portrait number. Also, thank you for permission to translate directly to events. I'll process translating it and move it to the updated dialogue files. Thank you for creating this fantastic mod, I'm looking forward to playing it!!
Oh... nice, it's great that someone is already translating this amazing mod. I'll wait for the translation, but if it doesn't come out, I'll do it myself.
Hello, i Just installed this (the romance version) and I noticed that there isn't a kissing sprite, I use the Hugs And Kisses mod, so when I romance Koda I suspect I won't be able to kiss her, not a big deal, I just got to year 3 in spring so hopefully you may have updated the sprites by the time I get to meet her.
So cool to see brand new stuff for Stardew coming out in 2025! I don't generally love NPC mods, because (to me) they either feel dry or out-of-universe, due to dialogue or art style. I don't want to discredit any other NPC mods, but Koda is a complete breath of fresh air. Her design is lovely, her dialogue and portraits fit in perfectly, and her character is genuinely unique, unpredictable, and fun to get to know.
FIASA and its game mechanics are the same, fresh and unique, but mesh perfectly with the existing world and characters. And the boat!!! Everything is thoughtfully designed and truly creative. I haven't met the second NPC or even completed Koda's story arc (I appreciate you making a friendly version!), but I had to leave a comment and appreciate the character, environment, and worldbuilding design. Definitely in my top 10 Stardew mods (coming from someone who plays with about 150).
Because I play with so many, I inevitably noticed a small bug: NPC Map Locations will show both Koda and the secret NPC as being at the dock on days the boat isn't docked. But that's all, great work!
Thank you for this incredibly kind and gracious comment! This is a little embarrassing, but I read it out loud to my partner. I have always loved Stardew, but about six months ago I got a job that allows me to work from home - the extra time and regular hours is also allowing me to finally put energy into my hobbies. One of which is modding! I am certainly prone to bugs and mistakes, but it has been really encouraging to have a positive response to Koda. Thank you for playing!!
Hi! I have no idea if it works on Android - I've never played on mobile, and know that it's an entire other way to mod. If someone else knows how to mod on Android, maybe they can help?
I absolutely love the mod and the background behind it. It integrates so well into vanilla and/or SVE style worlds, and I loved seeing the dialogue references to Taro. I installed both Ranger Taro and FIASA at the same time and I've been thoroughly enjoying their company! So excited to see more mods in the cajcbell universe 😁
I did have one thing to report, I'm not sure if it was intended or just overlooked? At the Moonlight Jellies festival, the mod description states that Koda is present for all summer festivals. She was not in attendance for the festival, and I didn't see the submarine when the festival started either - so I just assumed she left with the sub. However, when the Moonlight Jellies ending cutscene plays... the submarine was smack dab large docked at the pier taking up the left half of my zoomed in screen lol, as the townies on that pier all pointed at it (instead of the presumed jellies under it lol). It wasn't gamebreaking at all, but more of a funny thing I noticed. So now I'm wondering if Koda is intended to be at that festival at all, or if that submarine shouldn't have been in that cutscene. I am playing on an SVE save, but I don't think I have any other mods that affect anything at the beach whatsoever.
This sounds like a major bug to me! Koda should be standing across the wooden bridge on the right hand side, and the boat shouldn't be appearing at all that night- I will go in and look at the code. Thank you for pointing that out! And also thank you for your kind words!
Hi again! I just uploaded an update that fixes this issue, and a couple other issues related to festival placement! Too late for your moonlight jellies, but the boat will be gone next year. I'm grateful you have such a good sense of humor about it haha!
One more question - I've noticed that the traveling cart items are the exact same as those on the FIASA boat when they're present on the same day? Is this intended? I have a small handful of mods that add rare, valuable items to the traveling cart stock so I'm expecting to be surprised when I can one day buy one for only 5 coral lol. It's not really a big problem, the boat shop isn't open all days and the traveling cart is also only 2 days weekly. If it seems a bit "cheaty" I might personally adjust the trade value to like 8 coral or something in the future. I'm still enjoying the mod, just an observation!
Super interesting observation! Honestly something I should've thought to test- the way it works in code is to use a "RANDOM OBJECTS" entry when you tell the game what the shop should sell. So I wonder if it's pulling from the same random pool for both shops? That's fascinating in a programming kind of way. I bet there's a way to separate objects out by value, definitely something to look into in a future update.
I can’t believe you released this mod so fast! I thought I’d have to wait at least several more months to a year to see your cool project pan out, so I’m pleasantly surprised. You have my endorsement!! I’ve added it right away in my current save, which thankfully was still in summer y1. Also, thank you for adding a platonic option. I appreciate it! This is the first mod that I’ve followed a lot of the progress of and which I knew I’d need to keep an eye out for.
It’s safe to say I’m looking forward to playing with it and I also can’t wait to unlock your secret character! Congratulations!
Hello!! You have been so supportive!! I think I was able to move fast on this mod because I got so much encouragement from the modding community. It means a lot to share art and progress, and have the response be "awesome!!" And also, your help with the art and portraits was key... I still want to do some cleanup of the hairline on her vanilla portrait haha! Thank you so much!!

Look for a sprite where she has her eyes closed! That's the one

你好!我不知道它是否适用于Android - 我从来没有在手机上玩过,并且知道这是另一种mod方式。如果其他人知道如何在Android上进行mod,也许他们可以提供帮助?
