I just wanted to give you a heads up that Windows doesn't like folders that end with a '.' (period). I think it makes Windows think the folder is a Network location? Not sure myself.
Normally, Windows won't let a file be named that (removing the dot at the end if you try), but depending on the program used to extract your mod (7zip in my case), the dot at the end of the "[AT] Basic Dining Set - alt ver." folder may not be removed.
If a user tries to move, enter, rename, or delete the folder they will more than likely get an error saying the "File Cannot Be Found" or other such unhelpful messages (par for the course for Windows, I know).
It requires a command line operation (run with Admin rights) to remove it: rmdir /q /s "\\?<full path to the file, including drive letter and the dot!>" Ex: rmdir /q /s "\\?D:\Game Mods\StardewValley\mods\(CP) Orangeblossom's Basic Dining Set\[AT] Basic Dining Set - alt ver."
If someone reading this does this: Do not forget the period at the end of the path! Windows did not include it when I used the "Copy as Path" option in the Context Menu.
Other (more user friendly) software might be able to remove it too, but you may want to just rename the folder in a future update to avoid any such headaches.
I tried this method but couldn't get it to work, so I ended up installing windows subsystem for linux in order to clean up these files. Once it's set up you can clean them up like so: cd /mnt/<your drive>/<path to mod folder> rm -rf "(CP) Orangeblossom's Basic Dining Set" It is still possible to use this on windows as other users below found, you'll just need to manually download it and unzip it using the windows native unzip tool so it addresses the ending dot. It can then be safely repackaged for install if you're using mod organizers like I am.
Renaming the AT version should make this way easier for windows users to install in the future though. If you have some time to do this it would be much appreciated, and thank you for making this (and all your other) gorgeous sets!
An extra heads up in case someone ends up fighting with their PC to delete this folder to reinstall it without the "." The command line is missing one piece to its syntax that Windows needs to find invalid folders "\\?\", all three slashes are needed
Ex: rmdir /q /s "\\?\F:\MO2 - Stardew Valley\mods\(CP) Orangeblossom's Basic Dining Set\[AT] Basic Dining Set - alt ver." Thanks to thehandofzarquon for posting this solution in the first place ♥
I loved your creations soo much! Your creations are now one of my must-haves alongside Gweniaczek's! Can't fricking wait for fairy themed things from ya! <3
I just wanted to reach out and say that I really appreciate all of the time and effort you have put into crafting all of these beautiful furniture mods! I saw your "rant" and I'm so sorry people don't say words of appreciation. Well, I wanted to take the time to do that! I dabble in pixel art, but not to the magnitude you do! So, once again, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU so much for all of the gorgeous art!
Your mods never fail to disappoint and have become a staple in my saves now!!! I just switched back over to pc gaming after playing on switch for a while, and your mods were the one of the first ones i added! It took a lot of trouble shooting, rereading, making sure i got everything ready before i was able to get them all working. (turns out you have to have the old version installed too?) but once i got everything fixed, it worked perfectly! ive been anxiously waiting to see another one of your mods to pop up, im so excited to be using these! Thank you for your gorgeous work and all that you do!
Hi! im soo sorry for the late reply, ive been busy at the moment >< But to answer your question, when i wass trying to install and use the basic bedroom furniture, for some reason it wouldnt show up in my game at all until i installed the older, april 25th version. It worked very well after that, but before that, i installed the 1.6 version! they worked when i had them both installed for some reason! im sorry if that doesnt make sense, if i need to clarify anything pls lmk!

You simply:
1) Open 7zip file manager
2) Navigate to the folder path where the mod folder is located
3) In 7zip, you can rename the folder and remove the dot
The command line is missing one piece to its syntax that Windows needs to find invalid folders "\\?\", all three slashes are needed
Ex:
rmdir /q /s "\\?\F:\MO2 - Stardew Valley\mods\(CP) Orangeblossom's Basic Dining Set\[AT] Basic Dining Set - alt ver."
