This mod adds new items focused around foraging. There are two modules within this mod: Wild Food and Faerie Garden.

Wild Food focuses on edible flowers, herbs and forage that are often used in a culinary capacity. Things like basil, thyme, lavender, lemons, etc are part of Wild Food.

Faerie Garden adds flowers, herbs, forage as well, but with a more magical vibe in mind. Witchy herbs like mugwort, yarrow and valerian are in Faerie Garden, along with magical fruits and flowers you have never imagined!

You can use either or both when playing with this mod and any of my Wildflour's Atelier Goods' mods!

How the New Berry and Herb Bushes Work:

Spoiler:
Show

These actually work like mushroom boxes! By placing them, their timers start and when they have berries or herbs ready for harvest a bubble will pop up above them. Their visuals change seasonally, so they are also nice to use to set up fences or other decorative areas in addition to giving you berries or herbs.

Wild Raspberry - every 1-2 days in summer
Wild Strawberry - every 1-2 days in spring

Thistle and Mugwort: every 3 days in summer and fall
Valerian: every 2 days in summer
Rose and Violet Flax: every 5 days spring, summer and fall

Moondrops: time passes for these only when it rains or snows.

Amber Moondrop: every 1-2 days in summer but requires storms
Lapis Moondrop: every 1-2 days in spring but requires rain
Jade Moondrop: every 1-2 days in fall but requires rain
Pearl Moondrop: every 1-2 days in winter but requires snow

Where to get seeds/saplings:

Seeds are possible in the seed maker for crops, and require 3 fruits/nuts for a fruit or nut sapling. The mushroom and flower saplings are now restricted to specific shop vendors, and the Dessert Trees (that hold the blossoms) have gotten a HUGE glow up thanks to Platinum Cats! They now are in season all the time with a different blossom or magical fruit. As such, you can no longer craft these , but trade for them with a certain new 1.6 shopkeeper....

How to Configure this Mod:

Be sure to install Cauldron and check out the various configuration settings to decide things like:

Enable Wild Food, Faerie Garden: as mentioned this mod is broken into two modules. You can choose which you want to use, or use both! You can technically disable both, but then why did you download this mod...

Shipping Collection (Perfection Score) - worried about achiveing perfection with so many items? Simply uncheck this and items from this mod will not be counted towards perfection or full shipment.

Category Overrides: This is cosmetic, but if you want mushrooms to say "Mushroom" or Pistachios to say "nut" as their category, be sure to install Calcifer and check this box!

Cross Mod Compatibility - this is where you can enable further mod support from mods like Serene Meadow, Cornucopia, Quaint Living and Visit Mt Vapius

Where do I find the forage?

Please see the “guide” in the mod’s images and the pdf version available in the optional files section of the mod!

My friends who support me and listen to my ramblings about plants, cats, and mods: I could never have done any of this without y'all and I love y'all so much. <3

A few folks have asked and I now have a kofi if you feel like you’d like to contribute towards the mods and me and my kitties.

It's absolutely not required ever to enjoy my mod which will always be free for all; but I thank each and every one of you who has donated or will possibly in the future. <3

This mod is for SDV 1.6 - it is not compatible with older versions of the game. It is untested for mobile or multiplayer. though if all the same mods are installed, multiplayer should be fine. I cannot troubleshoot mobile; multiplayer your best bet is to try the SDV modded game support discord channel as it is often too hard for me to diagnose the issue across multiplayer saves.

This mod is fully compatible with all other item mods as it has unique internal ids.

Compatibility for Wildflour’s Artisan Goods, Cornucopia,  Serene Meadow, Visit Mt Vapius, and Quaint Living is available via the Cauldron config.

Rules are set up so that if you see an item like lavender from my mod and, say, Cornucopia, you can use both in a given machine to get the same output!

Note: you MUST remove any old versions of the Atelier Wildflour Mods. They are now outdated. "Most" of your items will be safe, but some may not. See the FAQ in the Articles section for more info.
