Hi. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm collecting ripe grapes in a pot, I want to put them in a pot in the house for the winter. But I can't! A pot of grapes is not allowed! I can carry grapes from the street to the greenhouse and back with a pot, but I can't put them in the house! What am I doing wrong?Yes, I was able to transplant a tea bush into a house using the "put a bush in a pot, put an empty pot at home, transplant a bush from a full pot into an empty one" method. It doesn't work with grapes in any way.
Do you perhaps have a mod that turns grape starters into 'berry bushes'? Appearance wise, they'd still grow on a trellis, but they'd be classified as a bush, meaning they are planted and grow on a grass tile and don't need watering. Would explain why you can't transplant them indoors (since there's no grass there).
From my testing, it appears the transplant feature does work with full-grown trees when the corresponding options are set to 5, but only for the host of a game. Partially grown trees, partially grown crops, and full-grown multi-produce crops (single produce crops can only be harvested when full-grown) can be transplanted by all players without issue. I believe the following improvements would fall into the scope of this most essential mod:
Full-grown tree transplant feature fully functional for both host and joined players
Toggle option to not pickup fertilizer, retaining soil, and/or speed grow when transplanting a crop (I love this, but not everyone will)
Toggle option to add a visual indicator to the pot icon to distinguish which have a crop or tree (having to open my menu to determine which pot has anything in it is mildly annoying)
Auto recognition of Adjustable Sprinklers to prevent competing "sprinkler work on garden pots" options
Ability to transplant crops originally planted in a pot to soil
Ability to transplant crops originally planted in soil to a pot (trees excluded)
Currently, when targeting a potted crop with whichever "Safe Tool" is set in the config, the pot retains the crop in the potted state, allowing the potted crop to be placed back down. If crops in soil were automatically converted to the same potted state when picked up with a pot, then they could also be placed down as a potted crop. Then, if a user-selectable hold-to-activate key is added (like L Shift), any potted crop could be emptied when targeting tilled dirt with the activator key held, returning the empty pot. The tree transplant feature would continue to function as it currently does since trees cannot be potted. I know this is a lot to ask / suggest, and I'd be willing to help in any way I could, but I believe this mod is on the cusp of becoming the new standard for (immersive) crop and tree transplanting! Oh, and Ultimate Fertilizer does work with garden pots, and any soil additives do move with the crops when picking them with the pots.
Looks nice, is there any chance though for a version with only the first 4 options (move garden pots with content, watering from sprinklers & ancient seeds planting ability)? I know i can get an earlier version (1.0.2?), but then i will have smapi screaming about updating it Or, at least, have the option to disable the other options than choosing a number or hearts requirement (TreeTransplantMax, FruitTreeTransplantMax, HeartsForGardenPot & HeartsForRecipe)?
You can disable both "Hearts for Garden Pot" and "Hearts for Garden Pot Recipe" by setting the values to -1. Most authors add explanations that are visible when hovering over the option labels.
One important thing that should be mentionned is it changes the requirements unlock for garden pot. I just got an event a few days ago where evelyn gave me one garden pot, next year she gave me a letter with the recipe to make new ones
This completly changes the structure of the game as normally you'd only be able to craft those after unlocking the greenhouse
yes but you also get the regular cutscene alongside the modded cutscene after completing the greenhouse with a free garden pot at the end of the regular cutscene which is not something I expected
Great mod and very handy for moving things around!
One thing I noticed was with the tree size maxed out I could move all but Mystic Trees full grown. Any way you could include that one in the future too?
Love the mod! I can finally place my fruit trees around! <3
If you're up for feature suggestions: I would love to transplant some forage to my farm - though picking it up immediately is probably hard-coded, right?
Already commented on a post in the bugs tab, but I'm also having the issue where my save crashed because I put a pot inside a chest. Here's my SMAPI log: https://smapi.io/log/a40f51509a034e77a323cfca2eb72acd
The mod is crashing my game. The SMAPI log says InvalidOperationException: The type GardenPotOptions.BetterIndoorPot was not expected. Here's the full log: https://smapi.io/log/d4852b0ee99448498536f63f761f7b2e
From what I'm reading in other comments, it seems that if you have garden pots with crops inside in any chest, the game will crash at night. I hope there's a fix to this soon.

Great job no matter what
