Known incompatible mods: Immersive Sprinklers/Scarecrows: I can't fix this issue on my end, it's caused by bad coding on by that mod. I recommend just using this mod with a large Sprinkler range, and as a scarecrow, it will provide almost the same thing as those mods.
This looks great, but I'd like to know if there's a chance for a prismatic scythe and fishing rod (just because I don't like to see mismatched tiers in the tools. Even if nothing changes)
Prismatic fishing rod could require the advanced iridium fishing rod to upgrade and the benefit it gains could be that there is a 50% chance to recover the bait used when a fish is successfully caught.
Primastic Scythe could require the iridium sycthe to upgrade and the benefit it gains could be 1 more tile range.
Would you consider adding an upgrading recipe for the sprinklers? There is a mod that allows you to upgrade sprinklers using the new/additional items needed for a recipe and I think this would work well with this mod to.
The way it would work would be you could craft a prismatic spinkler with 2 prismatic bars & 2 batteries OR 1 iridium, 2 prismatic bars and 1 battery. The iridium sprinkler would just replace 1 of the batteries needed in the recipe because we would have already spent a battery (plus other things) on the iridium sprinkler.
I think this would be a neat optional feature to add to the config menu in game for people that use upgrading sprinkler mods for the vanilla sprinklers.
There are multiple sprinkler upgrading mods but this is is an example of one of them: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/22710
Any chance you can add a config so that we can change the ratio of prismatic bars to shards? I would rather it be like the rest of the ores (5:1) and as such have not added the mod. I'd do it myself, but it isn't open source and while I feel confident in my ability to adjust the code, I don't feel confident in writing the mod myself. Either way thanks!
Mine didn't show a config.json even after starting and loading the game (at least on the latest update, I had it edited before). So how can I do this? Also, if you could make it compatible with Mod Menu, it would be awesome. Thanks for updating the mod
I will release an update this week that will include Generic Mod Manager Configuration implementation and and will include the ability to customize the amount of bars created, and how many shards are needed.
i recently downloaded Better Crafting by KhloeLeclair and my prismatic sprinklers have turned into red Ø symbols, im unsure what to do. atm, its not changed the functions of the sprinklers but it is a bit bothersome to look at.
edit: the sprinklers still work but i cannot place or craft any new ones.
I'm looking into fixing the issue of Better Crafting, apparently they are doing something that makes it so custom crafting recipes are incompatible, so I'll have to figure out a fix. I'm working on this now but it might take a little while.
just for anyone wondering: This mod breaks with the smapi 4.0.8 ver here on nexus. tools turn into error items and dont even show with cjb item spawner yet the prismatic bar and sprinkler still show up in cjb item spawner. so just stick with 4.0.7 for now.
I updated to 4.0.8 and do not see any issues with the mod. There shouldn't be anything changing in 4.0.8 that would impact how the mod functions, especially not for the base tools, since I don't need any harmony patches for them to function.
Can you provide a mod list? Maybe there is a conflict causing it to break.
Looking at your Mod list, The Return of Immersive Scarecrows is poorly coded and doesn't return the correct item ID when an item is removed from the tile. Is the issue you are having that you get an error item when restriving the sprinkler? Or do you get the error items under other circumstances?
So the problem is mostly immersive scarecrows. When it places the item it converts it to a bigCraftable (like a scarecrow) since Prismatic Sprinklers are scarecrows. When you pick it up it is a (BC)PrismaticSprinkler which is not an item. If you disable it, and only use immersive sprinklers, It will place the sprinkler down as (O)PrismaticSprinkler (the correct item), you can activate it, and pick it up to have it be a prismatic sprinkler in your inventory again. But it looks like they may have hard coded the sprite sheet, so it looks like a weed instead. The Immersive person would have to code an exception for the Prismatic Sprinklers to act as both because it doesn't look like their code has any handling for an item that is both.
In reality, they just need to return the item that was originally placed. Instead, they are hard coding how the item is returned, which creates these problems.
The translation is not complete. The names of the instruments and their descriptions cannot be translated into my language. Please fix this. Thanks for the good mod.
Version 1.2.0 fixes a bug that prevented translations from occurring. If there isn't a translation for your language, I'm happy to add them if you can provide the translated values.

Edit: I found it. Nevermind.
Here's my SMAPI log in case: https://smapi.io/log/38439af0709b4e62a4f30f63254226d3
I checked the assets in Grandpa's Tools and there's a retexture for prismatic tools, but it doesn't seem to work

I do not have better crafting installed, but thanks for the suggestion!
To answer your question, the sprinkler is converted into another item when placed, and then becomes an error when retrieved.
1. Say which language you're talking about.
2. Provide said translation since not everyone is a polyglot
