Hello, I have a question. I noticed that in your other mods for unique children, you used the “content” file to replace the game's internal files. However, for Elliot, you simply put the PNG files directly into the “assets/Natural/Elliott” folder. What's the difference between these two methods?
Hello! For this you basically just replace the assets in the 'UniqueChildren' Folder. It was before the CP update for Unique Children was established by the Mod author ^^
I'm planning to update this and the Sam one after posting the Purely Vanilla (WIP) for UniqueChildren as Content Patcher Mods
Just had a child in game, and remembered that i downloaded this mod. But i have a question, do i need both Unique Children AND Unique Children Talk for this to work? Or is it one or the other? Because I am not sure where to put the sprites if we have both.
Just download the 'Sprites w/ events' since they are for Unique Children Mod if you want a sprite only. But if you're using Unique Children talk, the portraits would be for that :D
I am also using Immersive Family, I actually started with that, and then saw this mod after. I just don't know if i need Both the mods Unique children and Unique Children Talk for the immersive family file for this mod.
I think just the sprites/Unique Children Mod is fine! From what I remember, Immersive Family doesn't use portraits so I don't think Unique Children talk is needed unless you have the author of IF's other mod related to it (Immersive Unique Children Talk, which required UCT).
Can someone help? I can't figure out how to replace the sprites but I've successfully installed the portraits. I'm using 'Immersive Children', 'Immersive Family', and 'Unique Children Talk'. Thank you!!
Same i'm confused they said use immersive children if you have immersive unique children talk and i already have those mods but they aren't in a seasonal format immersive children portraits just says parent name_boy_ and whether using light dark or darker in their pngs no seasonal. Plus when using immersive children we're meant to change the config in unique children to use the modded portraits instead of unique's so how would placing the pngs in unique children portrait folder even work
I'm guessing this is for portraits since no personal changes are needed for the sprites in accordance to the Unique Children Mod. Have you changed the names I've used (Eli/Lottie) to your children's names in the case you've input them in the game?

Or you can just extract the file wherever then copy every pngs inside the folder, paste and overwrite the pngs inside the mentioned 'Elliott' folder from Unique Children Mod.
Basically the path would essentially look like these: Mods/UniqueChildren/assets/Natural/Elliott or Mods/UniqueChildren/assets/Adopted/Elliott
Got a real jump scare from the first image- you use the same hair and hat as me and for a split second I wondered if you had somehow taken over my file or something, lol. The foragers hat is great!
I've never used those mods before, nor do I plan on using it anytime soon, so I'm not really sure if they require the same sprites, but if they do then it could probably work by inserting the assets to required folders, same with portraits ^^

The UCT framework actually supports the use of 6 portrait expressions for the children, so when I wrote the dialogues, I have coded them using 6 expressions, based on the Adorable Kid Portrait mod.
