May not be currently compatible with 1.6 Update:

I am currently working on all of my mods to make them compatible with 1.6. Please use at your own risk or wait until a compatible version is available.

I will also be addressing problems people have noted in the comments. Thank you for your patience <3

In Stardew's sprite files, there are various meats and meat dishes that were never implemented into the game, probably because the creator, ConcernedApe, knew that most players would be too attached to their animals to butcher them. There are mods that add that feature back in, but I thought it was time for an alternative option.

This mod adds soy beans to Stardew Valley so you can make tofu-based meats without sacrificing your beloved animals. Soy beans can be cooked into Tofu in the kitchen, which can then be made into the various "meats." Each meat has at least one recipe associated with it. Most dishes were part of the original sprite sheet, but I added a few of my own so that each meat could be used at least once.

I became a bit more ambitious with the soy beans and the mod as a whole than originally intended, so I also added soy sauce, wasabi, some new recipes, and vegan substitutes for milk and eggs.

For a complete explanation of how to obtain each ingredient and their features, please see the spoiler below:

Meat relevant items:

Soy bean seeds can be obtained from Pierre during spring, summer, or fall for 50g each. They grow after 8 days and keep producing every 2. There is a chance to obtain 1-3 every harvest, with 5 being the max depending on your farming level.

Soy beans must be put into the mill and harvested the next morning to get Soy Milk. The reason it must be milled is so that it can keep the "milk" category so it can be used in milk-related recipes. This is why the Producer Framework Mod is required.

Soy Milk can then be cooked in the kitchen to make Tofu, which can then be made into the Meats. Once you have the various meats, you can then make the dishes associated with them.

Soy bean relevant items:

Soy beans can also be put in a keg to make soy sauce. Soy sauce, along with fish, rice, seaweed, and a new crop, wasabi, can be made into a sushi platter recipe.

Wasabi can be bought from Pierre for 200g during fall, winter, and spring. They grow after 19 days and keep producing every 3.

Soy milk can also be put in a cheese press to make Vegan Cheese.

Tofu can be put into a keg to make Vegan Egg, for the same reasons as Soy Milk.  Vegan Egg can then be put into a mayonnaise machine to make Vegan Mayonnaise.

All vegan substitutes for vanilla foods (egg, mayo, milk, cheese) have a similar value and energy as their gold quality
counterparts.

There are 2 options for this mod. The only difference is that all the meat recipes will use vanilla cheeses and eggs for their ingredients. The Vegan option requires the vegan substitutes for its recipes instead. Only download ONE main file.

Since I put more work than expected into the soy bean/vegan portion of the mod, I will make a separate mod for anyone interested in it without the meats.
