A quiet town, a classic diner, a missing girl. Welcome to The Peaks. (An expansion mod based on the world of Twin Peaks.)

NOTE: This mod is in very early beta. It's pretty empty of NPCs and probably has a lot of clipping. Please see bugs section below.

Stardew Peaks is an expansion mod based on the world of Twin Peaks. The aim of this mod is to bring the cozy Americana (and a little bit of the mysterious weirdness) of Twin Peaks to Stardew Valley. So far, it includes:

  • 13 new maps (4 exterior, 9 interior)
  • 2 new shops, and the beginnings of a recycling program at the Sheriff's Station
  • 4 new NPCs, but no real events as of now
  • Lots of forage, fishing, and one new ore-spawning area

Currently Working On:
  • Full recycling program
  • Bringing the NPCs out of hiding (see bugs section)
  • Additional entrance

Future Plans:
  • New areas (at least 3 new maps planned)
  • Events
  • More custom assets
  • More NPCs
  • Full i18n support

Stardew Peaks was built and tested with a save that had multiple expansion mods installed. It should be fully compatible with all major expansions, including:

  • SVE
  • RSV
  • East Scarp
  • Recolor mods (will recolor the vanilla assets, but not the custom buildings as of now.)

This mod also adds a map patch to the Backwoods area north of your farm. I have not experienced any conflicts with this patch, but if you do find a mod that conflicts with it, I've added a configurable option to turn my map patch off. You can do this by using GMCM or by manually editing the config.json file to make "HikingTrail" false. You will still be able to reach The Peaks by bus. You may have to reload your save when switching the hiking trail on or off.

Required Mods:
Content Patcher
Farm Type Manager
Lumisteria Tilesheets - indoor
Lumisteria Tilesheets - outdoor
DaisyNiko Tilesheets
Luan Tilesheets
Alvadea's Tilesheets

Recommended Mods:
GMCM
Bus Locations (optional, but needed if you want to get to Stardew Peaks via bus)

Q: Can I make new portraits or sprites for the Stardew Peaks NPCs?
A: Absolutely, 100%. You don't have to ask my permission to make new portraits, sprites, or building replacements for Stardew Peaks. I only ask that you do not share my specific assets and that you link back to this page. Thanks!

I wasn't going to publish this mod at such an early state but, with the passing of David Lynch, I wanted to at least make the locations a reality for fellow Twin Peaks fans while I work on the more advanced features. This is my first mod of this scale (I've never made any NPCs, maps, or tilesheets before this), so if you find any bugs (including clipping, loading issues, etc) please let me know in the comments! Please be as specific as you can, and include a link to a SMAPI log.

Known Bugs:

  • Apparently the NPCs are shy and may not show up when they're supposed to. I'm having issues with their schedules, so right now they should all be at their starting point all day. If I can't figure out their schedules by the next update, I'll pick a more visible spot to park them so that they can at least be engaged with while I troubleshoot.
  • NPCs aren't showing up on social menu until met.
  • Currently, the entrance to the Hiking Trail is in the same area as the entrance to Coal Point Farm. Turning off the Hiking Trail in the config should fix this. Please make sure to reload your save when switching this config option. The Peaks will still be accessible by bus.

My sincere thanks go to the authors of other expansion mods, particularly ones that posted tutorials and other modding resources online to help first-time modders like me.

This mod has been a labor of love for me over the last year or so while a close family member battles advanced cancer. I want it to be the best it can be, but please be gentle and patient with me as I implement bug fixes and add more content. Thank you.
