About this mod

Lightsabers come to the Valley! Adds a range of powerful lightsabers to the game. If you're looking for a little more Star Wars in your Stardew, this is the way.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
There are several lightsaber mods floating around, but let me assure you, this is no simple weapon reskin. This is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be ... unnatural.

Using the excellent sprite work from 1am1337's Galaxy Sword to Lightsaber Mod, the goal was to utilize nearly everything aedenthorn's awesome Advanced Melee Framework has to offer to deliver exciting new ways to approach combat. I really wanted these lightsabers to feel like something special and unique; elegant weapons for a more civilized age. Lightsabers range from powerful to god-tier and offer many ways to master the force.

Requirements:
SMAPI
Json Assets
Advanced Melee Framework
SAAT - Audio Toolkit

Optional:
Sound Effect Replacement

Installation:
1. Download and install the required mods.
2. Download this mod's .zip file.
3. Unpack this Mod into the "Stardew Valley/Mods" folder created by SMAPI
4. Run the game with SMAPI
5. Master the force

Class Sabers:
Three class-based training sabers, that scale with you combat skill, are available from Marlon as soon as you have access to the Adventurer's Guild. These weapons all rival the Galaxy Sword in stats and will carry you to the end game.

-Guardian Saber (Blue) - focus on raw stats: Strength, Defense, and Speed
Special Attack: Force Jump - Dash forward and attack. The distance scales with your combat skill.

-Sentinel Saber (Yellow) - focus on finesse: Crit. Chance, Crit. Power
Special Attack: Force Camouflage - hide your presence from the enemy and become invulnerable to damage for a short time. The duration scales with your combat skill.

-Consular Saber (Green) - focus on controlling the space: Knockback
Special Attack: Force Push - a low damage blast knocks back enemies and shatters stones. The radius and damage scales with your combat skill.

Legendary Sabers:
Sabers with even stronger powers and stats are available from Sandy and Krobus. These are over-powered and expensive.

Spoiler:
Show

Sith Saber (Red) - give in to the darkside.
Special Attack: Force Lightning - summon thunder and annihilate your enemies.
Enchantment: Anger - has a small chance to damage the user when it slays enemies

Meetra Surik's Saber (Cyan) - pure pazaak.
Special Attack: Force Throw - launch a boulder at the enemy for big damage.

Revan's Saber (Purple) - raw power with a bit of risk.
Special Attack: Force Unleashed - gather the force and turn everything around you into dust.
Enchantments: Hero - slaying enemies has a chance to heal you.
Villain - slaying enemies has a chance to hurt you.

Ahsoka Tano's Saber (Silver) - style points everywhere.
Special Attack: Blade Dance - an invincible dash forward followed by a spin attack.

Darksaber (Black) - live your Mando-Jedi dreams.
Special Attack - a stationary spin attack that clears the space around you.
Enchantment: Bounty Hunter - earn gold when you slay enemies

Hero Saber (Blue) - the classic Skywalker saber.
Special Attack: Force Jump Plus - an invincible dash forward followed by a quick slash and a short retreat.
Enchantments: Crusader
Force Heal - slaying enemies has a chance to heal you.

Color Swapping:
This game is already great and has the ability to transmog weapons at the Ginger Island Volcano Forge. If you want a certain special on a certain color, this is the simplest way to do it.

For the more adventurous modders, you can swap any of the "weapon.png" files between folders to mix and match how you like.

Optional Sound Replacement:
For full saber immersion, there are optional saber sound effects that will replace basic swing and block sounds for ALL swords, not just the lightsaber. There is a Generic Mod Config Menu setup to swap it between "lightsaber", "darksaber", or "off", which will play the vanilla sword swing sound.

*If anyone knows how to cue unique sounds to individual weapons, I would love to find a way to implement this. So far I could only do it for the special moves. Sound Effect Replacement was my quick fix solution.*

Known Issues:
-Advance Melee Framework enchantments will continue to trigger for the rest of the day regardless of what weapon you have equipped. This seems to be a consistent issue with all the AMF weapon mods I tested while figuring out the framework. To avoid stacking effects unintentionally, stick to one super saber at a time.
