So I reread the description after my town map got overlapped by the vanilla map. Turns out that Casper overrides the SVE map with the vanilla one. I am going to see if loading them in a separate order or changing the priority on the maps will help. I was in Winter at first and the town map snow disappeared. Now that I am in Spring I found Casper sleeping under a tree where presumably Victor's house would go. So I am not sure how compatible these two are together but I am willing to make it work because I absolutely love Casper and I've had three conversations with them. Edit: I figured it out! I went through my entire mods list and found out that Uncanny Valley was causing a lot of map problems. So sorry to pin it on Casper. Either way I'll be keeping them for a long time. :)
Thank you for letting me know! It sounds like I may be working on Casper's compatibility with SVE in the next few updates here! I'm so, so glad you're enjoying them in your game <3
No Glutzahn, not yet, I uninstalled both and reinstalled them in separate order but that did not change anything. The map is still overlapping. I am thinking I'll have to change the name of the files to force a different load order but I have not done that yet.
So, my computer is having a hard time running SVE, so I can't reproduce this issue at this time (Or offer SVE-specific compatibility).
Fortunately, though, I don't think it's Casper that is overriding the Town map! The only map patch this mod makes, is the box in the Bus Stop, and that only ADDS the box, it doesn't replace anything beyond that! And luckily, schedules don't touch the maps themselves either. If anything, Cas would just not follow their schedule for the day if the house was there due to it being an inaccessible tile! I have also seen saves that run both SVE and Casper together successfully!
I would recommend going through your modlist for possible other culprits, since this is a very strange and troubling issue!! If you want help, you can definitely paste your log here and I can try to help you out!
I hope there is an option to relocate the box to a less visible location. I am really not a fan of the box being in the current location, as well as the fact that he lives in the box. Thanks!
hii i'm doing my first playthrough with casper and they keep calling me other names like rain and emma, my farmer's name is dai lu. is this intentional? like a nickname. also it goes without saying that i am hopelessly dependent on the casper /reference
just want to say how much i love this mod, have seen so many attempts at making "quirky" npc and it just falls a bit short, this one nails it, very entertaining I love casper, i cant play without them now
