2. Download my translation, then copy and paste it on your mods folder.
3. File Explorer will ask you if you want to replace the files, select replace.
4. Done
my mod should replace some of the files on the original mod, not create an another folder. you shouldn't just get the manifest.json from the original mod and move it to my mod. you need that mod and you have to move my translation file to the original mod.
Still, if it shows no prompt for file replacement. Manually go to [CP] Jane folder then proceed to i18n folder, there you should see a default.json file, replace that file.
I suspected it was from her mod because it was just a bunch of symbols (sorry I don’t know how to upload photos here) and I just went to her trailer and saw that there’s a box for dropping off whatever the special order was, so I guess it was from her mod.
For reference there was an extra file in the folder you mentioned that I wasn’t sure if I should copy to the new folder- I tried it both ways and had the same issue regardless.
Took me a while to see your post.
It's not the OG's fault nor mine as to why this is happening.
I can't be certain, but I think this is happening because the special orders are only run once. This means that if you get it, then that's it. No matter how much you change the code, it won't be altered, and you'll have to re-receive the quest to fix it. You may have received the special order when the mod was not properly installed, and it stayed that way even after you fixed it.
In any case, the quest still work it's just that the texts are messed up.
So I'll provide you with the details of the special quest.
Jane is basically asking you to put 100 void mayonnaise in her fridge, which is the box you just saw.
Twice...
"dialogue.jane.marriage.bad.7"
So yeah maybe tag this mod as having profanity lol
Edit: Thrice...
After reading a lot of the translation file it has occurred to me that this is pretty in character.
also I thought this is already resolved? you said you were able to make it work back in June 2024.
I'm running version 1.6.15, which is Steam's latest version for the game, and everything is working fine on my end.
Although there are a few things you can try:
First, delete the old folder, then install the original mod.
Don't just drag and drop the folder.
I hope this helps you, if it doesn't you can ask around SDV's official discord server for help cause I genuinely don't know what's causing this.
But you could try to reinstall the mod by deleting the old folder and then installing it again (doing the same as you did before).
Other than that, check if she appears in the social tab or in the Lookup Mod if you search her. It's also possible that she's just stuck somewhere, you can use mods like Lookup Mod and Schedule Viewer to see where she should be at.
You can fix this by resetting the bushes through using mods like Reset Terrain Features
Edit: after a few more attempts at fixing things i couldnt get it to work with 1.3.3 but it works just fine with 1.3.2
