A common error is missing content packs. The behavior of the mod depends on its version:
If you have LittleNPC 2.0 or newer and there's no content pack installed you will see the following error in the log:
Could not find a content pack for LittleNPCs. Your LittleNPCs will look like mere toddlers and don't do much. If you talk to your child you will get the following answer:
Hi mom/dad! Please install a content pack for me. Look for StardewValley Mod 15152 on nexusmods.com for details.
Mod version prior to 2.0 can't detect if the content packs are missing and you will see something like
This mod failed in the GameLoop.OneSecondUpdateTicking event. Technical details: Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Content.ContentLoadException: The content file was not found.
in the log.
In this case install a mod that provides the missing content packs, the most popular one is The Farmer's Children. Note that this one consists of two main content packs and you need both.
Please note that there's basic multiplayer support in version 2.0 . This is work in progress and not finished yet. Generic Mod Config Menu support is available since version 1.1.3 .
Please make it compatible with multiplayer, i can't use any child mods because they all require this mod and this mod isn't working with multiplayer, i trust in you candidus42. Peace
Hello! I want to try this mod for multiplayer (Me and my 2nd player marrying each other). I would be happy to report bugs/provide feedback, but I have a (maybe silly) question.
Since most child mods don't support multiplayer - since this mod hasn't supported multiplayer until now - and this mod doesn't provide any assets, do you know of any child mods that I can currently download to test this mod? Thanks!!!

I might be dumb, which one am I supposed to use? There are two files that both look like they are from the same day. I have tried each file setting it to 56 with the child age up updated mod and the kid is just a toddler, doesn't even give the dialogue that I need to install a content pack.

Hey, I downloaded the Child Age Up mod and I already have content patcher but the kid keeps saying I need to download content patcher. Is there any way to fix this? It worked well before but I edited when the kids get modified to 1 to test how the other baby looks when it grows up, and then i changed it back to 83. Please help!!!

But LittleNPC seems to make my game crash whenever I have it on. Which is sad cause it's one of my favourite mods. I tried to delete the cache of Little NPC in my savefile to make a fresh start but the error still persists. The game just crashes within a few seconds of being in game.

I tried a few things to fix it but nothing seems to work. Maybe anyone has suggestions :')
That's a really odd error. I think I know what happens in the code but I'm unable to reproduce it. But most important, as lemurkat pointed out, the Growing Valley Child NPCs content pack is missing, its folder is empty. See the Skipped Mods section in your log:
These mods could not be added to your game. - Growing Valley - Child NPCs-23234-1-4-0-1727509311 (1) because it's an empty folder.
Hey, I know redownloaded the Growing Valley Mod. However it still does not seem to work. The children however get transformed to NPCs, however the content pacl does not seem to work.
Hi, there are a few errors in your log but none of them is related to LittleNPCs. The content pack error is caused by a content pack that is not installed properly.
Hello I'd like to ask if this works with the mod "child takes after spouse" or do I have to install farmer's children still? Should I uninstall the "child takes after spouse" if I download this?
