About this mod

Unlock the saloon sports room by sponsoring a joint project between Alex and Shane (or withhold funding and let them figure it out by themselves)! SREO rewrites Alex's 14 Heart Event for a non-marriage approach with immersive NPC schedules for Sundays and (subjectively) inspirational speeches.

  • makes Alex and Shane the primary NPC participants of Part 1 and Part 3

  • provides 2 methods of completing the sports room: Donor Route (from the original 14-Heart Event) and Miser Route
  • these methods impact:
    1) time elapse between Part 1 and Part 3
    2) event dialogues with Shane and Alex (Part 1 - 2 lines; Part 3 - 2 lines)
    3) prompt displayed in Part 2 message box
    4) friendship points
  • Donor Route exclusive event:
    Part 4 reimburses money at a randomly-determined time after seeing Part 3
  • Immersive Scheduling:
    Sunday meetups in the sports room occur only when gridball season is active in fall and winter;NPC schedules on Sunday revert to normal/pre-room activities during the off-season (spring and summer);Affected NPCs: Alex, Shane, George, Kent, Gus.

  • enables changes to Alex's 14-Heart Events (Parts 1, 2, 3) when true
  • disables changes to Alex's 14-Heart Events (Parts 1, 2, 3) when false
requireHeartEvent (default: 8)
  • this value determines minimum hearts and the equivalent heart events required for triggering Part 1
  • when set to 8, the required events are: Alex 8-Heart Event @ beach, Shane 8-Heart Event @ Marnie's ranch
  • when set to 10, the required events are: Alex 10-Heart Event @ saloon, Shane 10-Heart Event @ bus stop
chanceDelivery (default: 0.1)
  • this value determines the chance for triggering Part 2 through the Miser Route
  • this value also determines the chance for triggering Part 4 through the Donor Route
  • when all other conditions are met for an event:
    value=0.1 indicates a 10% probability checkvalue=1 is 100% probability

  • Shane's original 14-Heart Event @ town and saloon arcade room

    SREO does not interact with these events
  • Mobile App: 14-Heart Events were added in Stardew Valley Version 1.4
    SREO has not been tested on mobile editions of the game;

Credits
Airyn for dialogue in [nexus] Fourteen Heart Events For All (Alt Shane and Vanilla Alex files), which became the inspiration of SREO's lines in Part 3 for Alex and Shane (and the text itself was mostly retained from this mod in the opening sentences of the two's character's mini-speeches. Kent's one line also was carried over into SREO). Some coding as provided by beyondrecovery was referenced as a template.
