You are forced to resort to other means of acquiring crop seeds now that seed prices have gotten out of control!

Shopkeepers have suddenly raised the prices of seeds to astronomical levels thinking you'll cave in and pay these new ridiculous prices since they know you have nowhere else to go. Fine, I'll go make my own seeds!

This mod is great for those that want to do "no shop" or "no seed purchase" runs, or just want to try a different gameplay experience that rewards you for seeking out other means of acquiring crop seeds and making profit.

This mod by itself simply raises seed prices and makes the seed maker harder to make but it is highly encouraged you download my seed processor mods (listed below) for the full experience.

** IMPORTANT ** Please be aware this mod inflates shop seeds prices and makes the Seed Maker much harder to craft, by default. You can toggle them off by going to the mod config menu for this mod.

Features:

  • Inflates prices of seeds in all shops to be wildly unprofitable to force the player to resort to other means of acquiring farmable seeds.
  • Makes the Seed Maker require much rarer ingredients to build (1 Prismatic Shard, 5 Iridium Bars, 3 Diamonds). This is so the player is forced to "rely on the land" longer and not just be able to build a ton of Seed Makers at the start of year 2 which makes farming too easy.
  • Intended to be used with my other "seed processor" mods to provide the player with alternative means of acquiring farmable seeds (processor mod pages contain spoiler tag for showing what objects convert to what seeds):

Fish-2-Seed Processor - Convert fish and crustaceans into farmable seeds
Mining-2-Seed Processor - Convert minerals, ore, and monster loot into farmable seeds
Mixed Seed Kiln - Converts fiber, wood, or stone into Mixed Seeds.

Config Options:

  • Harder Seed Maker - "true" by default but can be set to "false". This will make it so Seed Makers are much harder to build (1 Prismatic Shard, 5 Iridium Bars, 3 Diamonds).
  • Inflate Seed Prices - "true" by default but can be set to "false". This causes the shops seed prices to be set ridiculously high to the point that they are unprofitable.
