It seems that Json.NET, which SMAPI uses, allows a notation that is quite close to json5. It seems that all of the json extensions of json5 are supported except for the ones with a leading + sign and a leading or trailing decimal point in numbers. (In other words, software that supports json5 can read stardew json correctly.)
I see that Japanese characters are garbled and cannot be written here.

SMAPIが利用しているJson.NETが、json5にかなり近い記法を許容しているようです。
json5のjson拡張のうち、数値における先頭に+記号が入るものと最初または最後に小数点が入るもの以外は対応しているらしいです。(つまり、json5に対応したソフトウェアではstardewのjsonを正常に読み込める)
