This is perfect!! I've been doing a slower save recently with the difficulty on everything cranked up so that I have a reason to keep playing past year two, and this is a great compliment to that playstyle! :D
Is there any chance that you would be able to add the crops from the Plentiful Harvest mod? No biggie if you can't, but I figured I'd ask.
There is a mod that makes it possible for mixed seeds to spawn any seed when placed. Could you make it so that the more OP crops only get spawned in later years?
I dunno. I can see a farmer lucking into a random really good seed early on when Pierre hasn't yet seen any valid reason to sell the seeds (after all, before the farmer arrives he has no reason to stock anything extra, but nature doesn't know what is and isn't for sale.)

An idea like that, but maybe you could do an add on for the trees? More and more tree to unlock, trough the years!
