About this mod

Restricts some modded crops to later years, for the purposes of adding balance and slowing progression through the early game

You've just spent your first night at Grandpa's old farmhouse. You wake up and head to the general store, eager to grab your very first packet of potato seeds. The morning is bright, and you're ready to take your first step into the wonderful world of agriculture. But... what are all these? Clematis? Hungarian Chile? Queen of the Night Tulip? Who's ever heard of Kulli Corn? And what in the name of all things holy is a Chickenvine????

Take it Slow aims to ease the modded farmer through the early game by holding back some of the more obscure, fantastical, and overpowered modded crops until later years, when your character (and you!) have some more agricultural know-how. This mod came about because I, personally, found the early game of a heavily modded playthrough to be both overwhelming (by the sheer number of options), and disappointing (because of a handful of incredibly dominant and profitable crops). If you feel the same way I did, or if you'd like to purpose the functionality of this mod to suit your own needs, then you've come to the right place.

Take it Slow currently affects crops from these mods:

PPJA Fruits and Veggies
PPJA Fresh Meat
PPJA Farmer to Florist
PPJA Mizu's Flowers
PPJA Fantasy Crops
Bonster's Fruits and Veggies
Bonster's Trees
Bonster's Rare Crops and Oddi-Trees
Champagne Wishes
Fizzy Drinks
Spoopy Valley
Lucky Clover
Lumisteria Flowers and Crops
Mae's Trees
Floral Megamix
Raffadax (Thanks to Sakurai for the assistance)

The full list of (default) affected crops is available here.

This mod is fully configurable, with YearTwoUnlocks and YearThreeUnlocks being exactly what they say on the tin. Simply add or remove items from these lists, in quotes, comma separated. Just remember to use the names of the seeds, not the crops themselves. For the record, this can also be used to exclude any items from the shop, not just seeds. Note: this mod affects ALL shop menus, not just Pierre.

NEW IN 1.1.0: Compatibility with Better Mixed Seeds!!!!
1.1.0 adds a new config option, ExcludeFromMixedSeeds (default true), which will apply Take It Slow's restrictions to the crops that can appear from Better Mixed Seeds. To disable this feature, simply set it to false.

I've also added a config option called MiscMixedSeedExclusions, which prevent an additional list of crops from ever appearing in Better Mixed Seeds (SVE crops and some OP late game vanilla crops, by default). This is for the sake of balance in the spirit of Take It Slow, and is personal preference. If you'd like to remove these restrictions, or add additional ones, simply edit the list in the config. This functionality is also available by editing the config of Better Mixed Seeds directly, but I've included it here for simplicity and ease of use.

A huge thank you to Sonozuki for helping to make these features possible!

NEW IN 1.3.0: Forage exclusions!
1.3.0 adds Forage unlocks for years 2 and 4! Any instances of these items will be replaced with a vanilla forageable (depending on the season and location) to prevent OP forageables from dominating your early game revenue stream. This feature is on by default, and can be toggled off or adjusted in the configs. By default, only forageables from Raffadax are affected.
