Introducing Carrot Mode!
New in version 2.0.0, Spice of Life now includes a Carrot Mode, just like its sister Minecraft mod. Now, in addition to providing penalties for eating the same foods over and over again, you are rewarding for eating different foods! After eating a certain number of different foods, your stamina will permanently increase. The stamina increase is configurable, and Carrot Mode can be toggled on or off in the config mid-save, preserving any Stamina bonuses!
2.1.0: The default mode (henceforth known as Stick Mode) is configurable as well! Both modes default to true but can be toggled in the config at will!
Config:
queueSize: The length of the list that food is remembered in. The bigger the number, the longer your farmer will remember eating food.
foodForgottenEachDay: At the beginning of every day, the farmer will forget eating this much food. Make it the same number as queueSize to get a fresh start each day.
timesEatenBeforeDecay: How many times you can eat a food before stamina gain begins to diminish.
carrotMode: Enable or disable Carrot Mode.
stickMode: Enable or disable Stick Mode.
carrotStamGained: How much stamina is gained from each variety threshold met. This can be changed mid-save and your stamina will update accordingly.
exceptionList: A list of food items to be excluded from the foodQueue. You will never get sick of eating them, but they won't push other items out of the queue. Add items in quotation marks, separated by commas.
NEW CONFIGS IN 2.3.0
carrotModeGivesStamina: Enables stamina gains from Carrot Mode (original functionality, now toggleable).
carrotModeGivesHealth: Enables health gains from Carrot Mode.
carrotHealthGained: How much health is gained from each threshold met.
carrotThresholds: Allows you to configure when and how often you gain Carrot Mode bonuses. Each time your number of unique foods eaten meets one of these numbers, you will get bonus max health and stamina (if enabled).
enableNotEatenLabel: Enables a label when mousing over a food showing if you haven't eaten it yet.
enableEatenRecentlyLabel: Enables a label when mousing over a food showing how many times you've eaten this food recently (i.e. how often it appears in your food queue).
Changing configs mid-save should update your stats accordingly next time you boot up the game.
