About this mod

Adds a 2x2 "rug" and a 1x1 "rug" which can be targeted via Alternative Textures to place any floor or modded floor you want anywhere! Mainly for use in modded farm houses where placing floors does not work in the new custom sections.

This mod adds two rugs:
  • 2x2 "Floor Covering (Rug)"
  • 1x1 "Small Floor Covering (Rug)"

These rugs completely cover the floor, so you can use them in modded farm houses in places where you cannot place vanilla flooring to tile the whole room.

The intent of these rugs is to be paired with an Alternative Textures pack that has other modded floors. Included to download is an AT pack with all of the vanilla floors.

Usage
  • Download both the DGA and AT pack
  • Drag into your Mods folder
  • Run the game

You can purchase both items from Robin's store, and recolor them using the Paint Bucket and Brush outlined in the Alternative Textures wiki.

How To Make an AT Pack For This

The easy way:
  • Copy paste your floors file into the AT pack for both Small Floor Covering and Floor Covering
  • Count the number of variations in your file, and put that as the number of variations under texture.json for the Floor Covering
  • Multiply that number by 4 to get the number of variations in the Small Floor Covering texture.json

The complicated way:

To make an AT pack for this, I use this sprite cutting tool to cut a grid of floors into their individual counterparts, using the by rows and columns option, and then doubling that for the small floor covering option. Then I use the program ReNamer to rename all of the files to be texture_1, texture_2, etc.

Step by Step instructions:
  • Upload the file you want to cut
  • Check the "By number of columns and rows" box
  • Count the number of columns and rows your grid of flooring has, and enter that into the corresponding boxes
  • Click Cut!
  • Scroll down and click "Download frames as zip"
  • Extract the zip in your AT pack for "Floor Covering"
  • Rename the files to be texture1, texture2, etc.
  • Update the texture.json to have the correct number of variants
  • Double the number of columns and rows
  • Click Cut!
  • Scroll down and click "Download frames as zip"
  • Extract the zip in your AT pack for "Small Floor Covering"
