EDIT 27/04/2022: The Alternative Textures Stack Overflow bug has been fixed. The Braziers are back, and I also added the craftable Flute Block and Drum Block I had forgotten about. Let me know if anything else bugs out. Thanks for checking out my mod!
Hello! It's another one of my mods Shardust's Dynamic Interior that recolors the walls and frames. In the download page, you can just take the file named Wood Accents (last one at the bottom) if you just want to change the walls, and not all the other options for kitchen, cellars, etc. Keep in mind that the wall mod only works with Content Patcher, NOT Alternative Textures!
...That's weird. It might be an Alternative Texture bug as the mod uses its code to work. I do plan to update this soon-ish, after I update most of my other mods. Thanks for the patience!
this is a really stupid question but how do I choose the color of the item? It just gives me a random color when I place it. or is that how it's supposed to work and I just misunderstood lmao
It's no problem! To change the color you need to buy the bucket and paintbrush from Robin, and use them like tools. Select the bucket and click on a craftable and the UI will open up with all the colors to choose from. With the brush you can click and "copy" the selected color (including the vanilla one) and replicate it on every craftable of that type (so, if you have, like, 10 beehouses, you can have them all the same color by passing the brush over them without having to change them one at a time) Also, I believe you can use Generic Mod Config Menu to make Alternative Textures stop selecting random colors when you place an object (it is a recent update i think). Thnaks for checking out my mod!
The variety is lovely but I'm running into an issue where I try and place down braziers of any type and it crashes immediately, not even furnishing me with logs to figure it out. I disabled the mod and sure enough, no issues. Any suggestions?
Hi there! The Alternative Textures page didn't mention any specific torch/brazier issues so I assumed they would work like everything else did, but apparently there's a bug that affects braziers we just found out, so for the moment I can't do much but remove them from the mod until AT is updated, so I will update my mod shortly. If you don't want to download the new version (remove the old one for it to work), you can open my mod and remove all the folders with Brazier in their name safely yourself, it won't affect the other items. My apologizes, and thanks for checking out my mod!
Just wanted to confirm that as of Apr 27 with your latest update and the latest updates to AT that braziers are working just fine. I put down a ton of braziers to test and enjoy the variety in colors and had no issues, other than getting carried away by being happy about it and making a mess on my farm.
