Watering Can Tweaks, widely hailed as an exemplary module within the modding community, is renowned for its exceptional utility and versatility. By default, this ingeniously crafted modification augments the functionality of the watering can by imbuing it with the capacity to saturate not merely a predefined rectangle, but rather to irrigate the adjacent tilled tiles with remarkable precision and efficiency. This subtle yet profound alteration elevates the gameplay experience, imbuing it with a sense of fluidity and seamlessness unparalleled by its predecessors.
However, the advent of the game's latest iteration, version 1.6, heralds a challenge to the compatibility of this esteemed module. As enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the unveiling of the newest features and enhancements, the lamentation over the incompatibility of Watering Can Tweaks with the updated version reverberates throughout the community. It is against this backdrop of anticipation and apprehension that the query arises: What recourse, if any, can be pursued to reconcile this discrepancy?
It seems that Aedenthorn has stepped away from modding. I'm not quite aware of the details, so don't take my word for granted! Some folks have decided to unofficially update some of Aedenthorn's other mods. Whether or not this mod gets the same treatment depends on if someone actually wants to update this mod here.
Could it be possible to have the can progressively water an entire area without having to move? Ie, you water the tile in front of you, then it 'grows' to an adjacent tile, then another, etc, until all tilled tiles in that area are watered. Something like the way the mod works now, except it works from day 1 (w/o upgrades), and instead of stopping when it reaches the charge strength, the charge strength is a multiplier (x3 tiles at a time, then 5 etc). The idea is simply to keep the idea of having to water your crops and managing the watering can, but not having to make a full circuit of your crops every day and fiddle with the target tile as you go.
Maybe add a configurable delay on each 'growth', so simulate the time it would take to reposition, if the player chooses. (might not be necessary)
Sadly, it's one step forth and several back for me. It's utterly convenient but I am facing several issues, it could be MARGO running interference but well, anyway...
Can volume remains the same throughout all upgrades. Iridium is drained after 3 full uses.
Stamina consumption is per tile and as such much more draining. Rather than costing 9-10 it's ~17 at Farming Level 9.
Disabling 'Mod Enabled?' does not disable the mod. Disabling 'Water Adjacent' disables the 'Mod Enabled?' but not itself in the config (it's off though).

For now we'll have to wait and see.
