Hey I don't know if the author said so but.. does this ship really remind anyone of the Bebop from the anime/manga Cowboy Bebop? Because i got some serious nostalgia going on here now! Brings a tear of joy to my eye. :'D
You're a filthy piece of crap, that's deffinately a carrier from Starcraft; my favorite unit ever. Now it's like I'm actually a commander. Minus the awesome little interceptors it shoots out. That's awesome.
Your ship is great piratefromvoid, but i'd like to make some suggestions on the structure file.
First make sure all your doors have "backgroundBlock" : false, with it set to true the 1 block the door is placed on will have a locked background.
Second, rename "shipship.PNG" and "dropshipblocks.PNG" to something unique, this lets players see their friends modded ship properly in multiplayer without having to use it as their ship. (they still have to add these files but skip the structure file.)
Third, it won't hurt to set blue aka 0,0,255,255 to have the same "backgroundBlock" : false, true it means people will be able to plaster backgrounds over their control console, but if they want to so be it, and more importantly it will let you do...
Four, set "unbreakable" : false on the captains chair, fuel hatch, locker, tech station, and teleporter. It doesn't hurt their functionality and lets your players do whatever they want. IMPORTANT NOTE: if you make them breakable you MUST set "backgroundBlock" : true, AND a "backgroundMat" : for fuel hatch, locker, and tech station. Also these 3 will now NEED sufficient background to be placed on (Fuel needs 2x3 placed at 2,1. Locker needs 4x3 placed at 3,2. Tech needs 3x3 placed 3,2.)
I hope this helps, as I remember spending forever trying to figure the specific combo needed on that last one.
Personally I have a few issues with the whole external structure, considering it a little unrealistic but f*#@ it man its scifi. A version with some windows and no text on it would be great.
