i dont get the part to switch the ship between characters. when it try to rename it it just is called blahblahblahblah(2).shipworld so it doesnt replace it.
Neither, probably. Enraged Koala apparently has a lot of bugs, I've seen a bunch of reports about people losing chests, getting crashes and the like. Unfortunately that's how it is with playing an Alpha/Beta, there's nothing I can do about it to help, either.
How are you installing it, exactly? And by default the ship only installs for the Glitch race, unless you go into the mod, then ships, and rename the folder to a different race.
Aaap, looks like Starbound's gotten a patch that should fix the container/storage problem people have been having. Not sure if it works on savegames where stuff already has vanished though, but it should work on backups and prevent it from happening anymore. ( Again, not my fault, thankfully. )
Some of my storage chests have just disappeared with the Enraged Koala version... I don't know if it's normal or not, but I lost all my clothes and food, I really love this ship but I think I will keep this mod for later unfortunately.
Not to be dismissive, but it's the new Starbound patch that's the cause of that. A -lot- of people have the same issue, even on the default ships. The ship is functionally identical to the base ships, due to how Starbound handles shipmods, anything that breaks or messes with my ships ends up messing up the default ships as well. ( Plus, the only difference between the older versions and newer versions of this mod is 1 word of text in the modinfo file, no actual change to the mod itself. ( Furious -> Enraged, if you were wondering. Starbound demands that all mods have a modinfo file that matches the newest version of the game. ) )
Hopefully they'll figure out how to fix it and patch it soon, since the issues seem kinda widespread.
And you've already updated it for the latest version. I wish I could vote/endorse you 100 times more. I am loving this ship! Thanks for making so many options.
Yeah, I heard there was a patch and argh damnit. Thankfully it's pretty trivial to update the ships for newer versions, as long as they don't post a patch while I'm sleeping or whatever.
Make sure your friend takes the right "ship" that you chose and puts it in the right place. I spent a few frustrating hours trying to walk my friend through it until he finally realized he had forgotten to overwrite a few files. After that, it's fun times as we can see each other's modded ships.
Like all other shipmods, you can upgrade, but it means that your old ship gets wiped. The instructions to do it are roughly in the middle of the large block of text in the description.
Basically, you make a new character, and then copy their ship, and tie it to a different character. It's easier than it sounds.

I don't know if updating this mod is to blame, or because it might have had modded content in it.
I'm not really sure what to do now.

I like this ship design a lot and it would've given a sour aftertaste if it was to blame.
But, much to my enjoyment, it wasn't!

that solves my problem, as i was used to it being human default, and got confused by the different folders. Thanks!

Great to hear that you're enjoying it though!
But i have a question - Can other players see my ship with this modification??? (on servers)
Without it, they'll only see the blocks/walls/items you've placed, unfortunately.
