"I discovered what the problem with the armors is. To fix it, open the files for the items, ( marauderc.chest, marauderh.head, marauderl.legs, etc.), look for any numbers with quotation marks around them, and remove the quotation marks."
Do this and change the version in the .modinfo file and it should work again.
I'm sorry for the late answer! Go to X: Steam SteamApps common Starbound mods marauderequipmod custom_armor armor advmarauder Open the file "advmarauderc.CHEST" with Notepad++(it's a free program). Delate all quotation " around any >>>NUMBERS<<< ! Nowhere else! Save and close the tab. Do the same with the advmarauderc.HEAD and the advmarauderc.LEGS file. Repeat this process in the darkmarauder, elitemarauder and marauder folder.
And don't forget to change the version in the marauderequipmod.MODINFO file!
@EchoRNGR this may be a bit too late, but did you make sure to also edit the version name in the marauderequipment.modinfo file so it say Enraged (the current version)? Most mods only ever need this to be changed after the game updates!
yea you can change the mod file to reflect the corresponding beta version, e.g. Enraged Koala, but only the weapons work. Not sure the mechanism to get the armour working other than just ripping off that the creator made...it's a staple mod tho- so hopefully it'll come around to being updated.
I've edited the mod path file to go into Furious Koala, but the armor shows up as "Perfectly Generic Item" in the crafting table. any way to solve this?

I found this in the Chucklefish forum:

Edit: Yes, it works to 100%

This looks amazing and I would love to use this!
Btw: It would be cool, if you can make something for the back-slot.
