   Trying to install your mod with the mod loader and it keeps telling me "The mods name in its .modinfo file must be the same as the .modinfo file name. Please contact the creator of this mod for help"
   
   any idea how to fix this?

      Which mod loader? As far as i know, current mod loaders are not compatible with the official modding file structure yet. Try installing manually.

      Im using the starbound mod manager ( http://www.nexusmods.com/starbound/mods/64/? ).
